Maxwell Eckstein: Piano Music for Kids to Enjoy

Regge Episale: Scales and arpeggios help make a piano student develop finger strength and flexibility, but the student needs to be able to play songs that are pretty and impressive at their skill level. This book finally gives the student a great sound and performance without being discouraging. I’ve loved this book for 50 years and was thrilled to find it again. Excellent for teaching or just for enjoyment.

albert law: Experienced player here, had played this book almost 40 years ago and now getting it for my daughter. The price here is super competitive, a little surprise as I find it hard to get good price on piano books online. Got to say the pieces span a very wide range and some of the ratings were way off as some really difficult pieces were marked as grade 3. Anyway, for the price and the wide variety of songs available it is a great steal if you have not played this.

Andy: Don't get fooled by the title. This very comprehensive collection of piano pieces is for every piano player, be it student, amateur and even pro. It includes works from classical to Parlor Pieces to folk dances, and even works by by lesser known composers.
This collection is a grand classic that has been around for a very long time. I grew up with it, but had to leave the book behind when I moved to the U.S. I'm glad that it's still in print! (now by Hal Leonard; I had the original AMSCO), and available on Amazon for an affordable price! Also, the book "breaks in" easily, that means, it doesn't keep the tendency to "fall close" on the music rack all the time.

S.B.: My sisters and I used this music book when we were growing up - I still have the original book but it's very well worn and a bit tattered. I was so happy to be able to purchase a new copy of the exact book after all these years! With the original copyright dated 1934, it's a testament to the quality of this book that it is still available and in use after all these years.

Santosh: I normally buy a lot of music books, and have been eyeing this one for sometime now. It does not disappoint. A lot of good classical pieces, are put together with the level of difficulty mentioned for each piece.

The print is clear and helpful markings for children on fingering, etc.,

Per the publishers, the level of difficulty for pieces is between Grades 1-3.

Good book for student repertoire, but if you have been collecting sheet music already, some of them may be duplicate, but thats how most books work... As a teacher Im sure most of us who have enough material know few pieces are present in number of books.
