Seth: I like that the author actually writes his own books and thoroughly researches each topic. I also like that he encourages feedback on his books and leaves a contact email that he personally reads for quality improvements. His words thus for have been insightful as well as motivational. Beyond that he offers another e-book for free in relation to his first chapter. I look forward to reading more from him.

daniel uso: This book summarizes several techniques for being self-disciplined in order to get what you want in life. Sometimes is a little bit shallow in some topics. But in general I ENJOYED the book

EJ: This is a great book with lots of amazing tips for becoming more self-disciplined. The chapters are very short and the book is written in simple, easy to understand language, that provides for a smooth and continuous read. I am about to order both his Communications and Confidence books to read, learn from and add to my library of self improvement books. Lastly, I almost never leave reviews, on anything! But, this was a good read, I learned a lot, both about myself and others around me, so I felt it was deserving of a review. Great book, order it and I promise you will not be disappointed!

Sharon: At one point in my life, I did not want to die; but, I saw no reason to live if life were to be that way forever. I have come a long way to become the happy person I am today, and I have experienced many of the concepts that Ian discusses here. I am not sure about being able to control emotions. I have learned a different route, but we arrive at the same emotional place, just a slight detour at the beginning. I have never read a book as comprehensive, instructive, and inspiring on the subject as this one! You will be glad you read it.

t.j. storm: just bought 3 more copies of this book because it's brilliant. I love his down-to-earth approach. He is teacher who practices what he teaches and I am also checking out several of his other books. I really loved this book and I hate so many 'self improvement' books. This one is a true joy to read and I am excited to give it to a few of my friends. I loved the format, too. It's a really huge book! Anyway, I don't normally write these kinds of things, but thought I'd do it with the hope that somebody might benefit. There are key insights on almost every page. One of them I got this morning that I never really thought of is that self-discipline, self-control and the feeling of autonomy are the keys to my own happiness. And that's just a top-of-the-mind idea from this morning. Anyway, this book is great! Buy it!

Dave Park: Interesting, instructive and well written, I have found this book very helpful.
I have rarely reached my fitness goals despite being eager and motivated, and now see that having poor self discipline is the most likely cause. Having read this book, I now feel better able to complete my goals
