GUILHERME MARISANI: Estava procurando uma gramática nova para trabalhar no meu curso e na verdade encontrei algo bem melhor. É um livro atual, de leitura leve e gostosa, ter versão Kindle é um plus, pois andar com gramática em versão física não dá. Eu curti demais. O livro surpreende. Apesar do título ser meio duvidoso, logo o auto se explica. Amei!

Rene: Book came in perfect condition and is exactly what I expected it to be. Satisfied to say this purchase was worth it. It's a bit small and the letters are too but it's worth every penny. Definitely recommend!

Rafael: Um livro incrível que não se limita a passar regras e mais regras gramaticais, por ele é feita uma contextualização da realidade como o inglês é usado e que nem sempre estar gramaticalmente correto é o melhor jeito de se comunicar. Entretanto, o livro serve apenas como um complemento pois não abrange toda gramatica do inglês.

IMHO: If you've ever had to endure the raised eyebrows of self-proclaimed grammar police, then you'll appreciate this guide. Barrett is authoritative without the usual veneer of condescension. I enjoyed his refreshing response to many of the pointless constrictions that most of us have grown up with. He gives plenty of examples to contrast the acceptable with the incorrect, and explains what works (and why) in various contexts, from verbal sparring between buddies to the most formal occasions. "Perfect English Grammar" will also be helpful to people learning to speak and write our potentially confusing mother tongue. His goal is "to help you make the best choice for your situation without having to fear somebody will hunt you down and make fun of you because you did it your way instead of their way." As a professional writer, this is the grammar guide I'll keep close at hand.

Jessica Huff: I received this book as a free download from the Kindle store. I was very excited when I saw this free download because I have been thinking about starting a blog and this would make a great reference for both me and my husband. He just needs to work on his English skills altogether. When reading the introduction, I found it interesting that Barrett states perfection is something a person should strive for, but not beat themselves up if they fall short... yet the title of his book is Perfect English Grammar. My favorite tip, found in the first little general writing section, is to only use a thesaurus to remind yourself of new words. When I would proofread my husband's papers for his final year at college, I could always tell when he used a thesaurus to pick a bigger word. It was obvious and took away from his writing. This book seems more for helping those taking a creative writing class or wanting to write as a hobby or maybe even freelancing. This will be a great tool for me as I go on my blog-writing journey. I would recommend this as a download for anyone who has any interest in creative writing.

Kerri Miller: (My credentials: Taught high school and college English for 10 years, MA in English.)
I like this book. I really want to love it, but before I could recommend it for high school and college students, it needs a second edition with some added material and better organization. It’s generally well-written and the concepts the author includes are clearly explained, but in its current form, it’s not really a practical reference for students who need help with the sentence-level problems teachers and professors are most likely to call out.
Who I would recommend this book to: the student who doesn't struggle too much with the mechanics of writing but doesn't have much formal instruction in grammar and wants to cover the basics before taking a grammar course in college or before taking an AP English Language and Composition class that will expect them to understand these concepts before moving on to more advanced grammatical and rhetorical concepts. It’s also a useful reference for advanced English language learners.
Specific pros and cons I noted while reading:
