Consumer Advocate: The one star is for the classy appearance. I bought the double pack of liter bottles. Great packaging and elegant bottle but I'm glad I tried a bottle before gifting the other one. The perforations on the lid would not break away. We used a knife to cut beween the perforations. The threads of cap do not match threads of bottle so it just spins around and its a pull off lid. The oil flavor is way off so If you havnt tasted avocado oil before please know it's supposed to taste fresh and buttery. Try a small bottle of Olivado brand and see what it's supposed to taste like. This price was too good to be true. Amazon resolved the return issue emmedietly. That's why I shop Amazon!

Denis-Mounie: When I received my order I was very pleased! The bottles were individually sacked in plastic and cradled in molded Styrofoam perfectly suited for reusing to post wine bottles (I think- I haven't tried yet, but it looks that way!). Nice, large quantities of oil! I use it to make my own mayo- the stuff from the store has terrible ingredients and Julia Child says that every cook should be able to make mayo at any time.
My recipe is 1/4 cup of vinegar (last night's version was white wine vinegar), a bit of mustard (~T), salt to taste and 2 egg yolks. Blend in food processor and while it's running, slowly SLOWLY drizzle 1 1/2 C of a mild tasting oil. Last night I made it with the new avocado oil and what a great consistency! My husband thinks it's my best batch yet. I can't totally say it's because of the oil, but it takes a lot of oil to keep mayo in the fridge consistently. And that's what you get here, a lot of oil at a great price, well packaged, mild and delicious. Highly recommend!!

powerop: This brand of avocado oil is great. The consistency is smooth and very clean with no impurities. Somewhat mild in taste, the versatility of this oil is high. So is the smoke point, which I love taking advantage on my cast iron cookware! Talk about the perfect sear. It is also good for stir fries, but too expensive for deep frying. Having these square-shaped, tinted glass bottles looks great in the kitchen, as opposed to metal containers. One drawback may be letting light degrade the oil over time, but if you like this oil as much as I do, letting it sit unused shouldn't be a problem.
I was amazed by the lightning fast shipping and the condition that the two bottles came in. Others in the past have reported bubble wrap, but in my case (no pun intended) there were two custom-shaped "egg" cartons perfectly sandwiching the bottles, and those cartons were tied together with strong plastic. Each bottle is wrapped in see-through plastic as well. As far as the shipping speed, lets just say I ordered other things from Amazon Prime on the same day, and these oil bottles came to me first!

Avocado oil is among the "healthy" fats and is great for frying, baking, dipping and drizzling. I love that it is a "liquid" oil so measuring is a breeze and I also love that it has a naturally neutral taste so that it can be used in a wide variety of ways. And the price of this product is the best I've found anywhere. I purchase the 2 bottle package and put one bottle in the deep freezer while I use the other one.
The only thing I wish were different is that it isn't organic, and this is important for folks who are picky about what goes into their bodies. This is OK for now, but I intend to keep looking for a suitable organic Avocado Oil that won't break the bank.
