Not sure why I waited so long to replace the OEM Diamondback comfort pedals. The MARQUE MTB Flat Bike Pedals seem to be a great, rigid pedal and much needed improvement. The gripper studs do their job and stick like glue to your shoe! You can see in the pics how it compares to the OEM pedal. A notable and amazing difference in pedaling. Very pleased with these pedals.
For those not familiar with right-hand and left-hand threads, left-hand threads are on the left-side of the bike. Turn the wrench (15-mm) to the right to loosen and to the left to tighten. There is no need to overly tighten the pedals as they will tend to tighten when pedaling; snug is adequate. The left-side pedals are a marked in two ways, one by an 'L' in the frame of the pedal and the other is by the striations at the base of the mounting bolt. The right side has an 'R' and the bolt is smooth.

I purchased 2 pairs for my 1995 Mongoose and my wife's 2017 Trek FX2. They fit perfectly, installed with ease (using both hex and 15mm wrench). A bit heavier than expected, however very durable & perfectly wide. Studs grip well and spin appropriately. They do require a bit of a "break-in" period, but overall great replacement for a decent price.
