Tiffany Coleman: What a joy to read! Amazingly well-written, witty and heart-wrenching. I always appreciate stories that dive deep into what motivates people to overcome the odds.

Whitney: I’m a huge lamb, and waited years for this memoir to drop, I pre-ordered it and received it the day it released. Her story is quite compelling and inspirational. Just gives a total perspective of the meaning of Mariah Carey. Waiting on the film…

claire: Excellent Memoir of THE Mariah Carey ! Singer, songwriter, producer... a legend!
Of course, beautifully written. She is an amazing songwriter, but with this book, you can also see how brilliant of a writer she is and how she subtly makes us part of her own story, as if we were a close friend of hers. We laugh, we get teary eyes, and we discover the true and real Mariah, from the wayward child who looks at the moon and who grew up a little too soon, to the Butterfly era and so much more...
In this book , Mariah Carey spreads her wings and open her heart
again to the world.
A wonderful and emotional Memoir to get asap , especially if you are a ride or die fan !!!

EJC3: I am and have been a fan of Mariah Carey since her very first single. Im watching Tennessee with Mariah right now and just finished Wisegirls - both very good and entertaining films. I recently wrote a review on Jessica Simpsons open book and like Jessica I remember hearing Mariahs Vision of Love on the car radio and couldn't believe the high notes she hit. I ran out and bought the cd and loved Mariahs voice and especially her writing talent.
Like Jessica I made a point to buy every Mariah cd on release day including the super fun remix cd singles they used to release that would have multiple remixes of her current single. Im glad Mariah is doing the music she wants, but I have to admit I miss the upbeat/pop faster tracks.
Regarding the book I bought 2 one to read and one to store away as my collectible copy. I am enjoying the book but in my opinion it could have been so much better or even longer with more current events. Jessica Simpsons book was over 400 pages and she came along about 10 years after Mariah.
I adore and respect our girl Mariah so I'm not looking for dirt, name dropping or snide remarks.
But there seem to be gaps missing. There is not one...

Mini: Some backstory. It was my high school’s annual choir concert, April of 1995, and it was my turn to sing at the Solo Spotlight, a spot reserved for upperclassmen only. It was the chance for talented students to show their singing chops on the stage alone. I signed up for it because — why not? I wasn’t much of a singer, but the choir had taught me how to sing on key, with some “full voice" chops to boot. I have no clue what “full voice” means, but I assume it’s a good thing? Anyway. Four people sang solo that night, and I was the last one. I never did this kind of thing. I never sought attention or adulation. On the contrary, I went out of my way to be as inconspicuous as possible, an it’s-like-watching-paint-dry type of girl, and I say that with pride, thank you very much! But not that night. That night I stepped on the stage, gazed at the choir director and an audience of about 500 people, and sang Mariah Carey’s cover version of “Without You.” It was just me and a prerecorded piano accompaniment, created to fit my range because, of course I can’t sing like Mariah, duh! When I belted out the last part (“I can’t give anymore”), I gave it all I could,...
