The bluetooth version of this doesn't work with the app on my Samsung S20+ at all. So I opted for this wired version to download from my Mares Puck Pro+. Works great and really easy to use with the Mares app installed on my PC, should have bought this in the first place.

Perfect replacement for Mares Puck battery door. Mine got stuck, the slot wallowed out and I actually had to drill 2 small holes and use needle nose pliers to get old door off. Was careful, it worked and this was my replacement.

I agree that I think it's a bit overpriced, though it has come down in cost over the past few years. In regards to functionality, I installed the Dive Organizer first on a Win 10 64bit laptop using the web installer. No problems there. Then I just plugged in the adapter to my Puck, put it in PC mode, and connected it. There was no sound or recognition of the device over USB, but on opening the Dive Organizer it read my Puck and downloaded all my dives.
I've used other dive organizers and I like the online ones best. Now I can import my data with this adapter. No longer do I have to keep the screen alive while I quickly write down the data. In addition, I can see my whole dive depth/temp profile, not just my max depth and temp.
It's not a necessary accessory, but if you can afford it then I'd pick it up.

I think the USB connector kit is overpriced, but they have a captive market so I guess they can charge whatever they want. You decide if it's worth it. This review is more about the Mares software and website than the USB connector itself which works fine (made in Bulgaria!).
No software or instructions come with the USB device. I downloaded MARES Dive Organizer from their website, installed it with a couple optional drivers (it wasn't clear which apply to the puck pro). Clipped the USB clamp to the Puck Pro DC (it has two electrodes that contact the two on the back of the DC). Connected the DC via USB, put the DC into PC-Mode and my laptop immediately recognized the device and used the drivers I downloaded, but then the Dive Organizer software crashed. (I'm on Windows XP SP3.)
Left the DC connected, restarted Dive Organizer, it found the Puck Pro DC and didn't crash this time. It also found the warranty number (displayed on the INFO display of the...
