Leonard George: I quite like this clock. The problem is that after 1 1/2 years of daily use (setting the alarm time and turning it off when the alarm sounds), the setting switches are wearing out and the timer has gotten difficult to set. If you like this clock, be prepared to buy a new one every year or two. And if it's vital that you have a reliable timer, you need to travel with a backup.

Kindle Customer: When you use night light you can't read the clock unless you pick it up and tip it up. Not impressed but it was cheap.

EL: I looked extensively to find a small travel alarm clock. I found this one and also bought the atomic one by Marathon for my husband. Both function well and serve the purpose. However I think the atomic is better because of the buttons. The non atomic buttons on this model are on the side and very difficult to move at all, and when you do move them up and down, you cannot tell for certain if you have them in the correct position. Therefore I am not sure that I have the alarm on or not. Since that is the main reason I bought the clock, it is frustrating to be unsure whether I have the alarm button in the correct place. There is a symbol on the front panel that signals alarm on for confirmation so that helps. The atomic version has simple buttons on the front of the clock that are much easier to use. I would recommend that model.

Mother of O: Stopped working after 2 days. The failure mode was odd, the back light couldn't turn off, so took the battery out to reset, and it completely failed; have changed to a new battery and seems to be working. I suspect that the clock has been sitting in a warehouse for a long time (who buys clocks these days when smart phones are almost ubiquitous? Obviously, I purchased one, but for my child who is too young to have a smart phone).

MK: My Casio PQ15-1K digital travel alarm clock with calendar date and day of the week and temperature that I bought from Amazon.com in 2017 has a problem with the alarm -- the set alarm time cannot be changed and the alarm when turned on does not go on at the indicated alarm time Although everything else still works, my Casio travel alarm clock is not useful as an ALARM clock when the alarm does not work. The Casio PQ15-1K travel alarm clock was shown as being unavailable from Amazon when I tried to order a replacement, so, notwithstanding the mixed reviews, I ordered the Marathon CL030023 travel alarm clock with calendar and temperature, which cost a little less than the Casio PQ15-1K did in 2017.

I have used battery-operated alarm clocks for years, just in case there is a power outage that affects the electrical clocks. The travel alarm clocks have been useful for both home use and for use during traveling. The main problem with digital alarm clocks (and digital wristwatches with alarms) is that the alarm is often not loud enough to wake me up. The alarm of the Casio PQ15-1K was loud enough and the alarm on the Marathon travel alarm clock I initially believed was also loud...

MehMeh: Don't listen to the reviewers making false claims about a "design flaw" in regards to the snooze/light button causing battery drain. Those reviewers clearly never operated the product or if they did they are incapable of reading and understanding simple instructions.

For travel there is a "key lock" switch on the side of the clock next to the alarm on/off (shown in the image attached to my review) that keeps any button on the clock from inadvertently activating. This switch also keeps the snooze/light from accidentally being pushed and draining the battery.

This clock works as advertised and does exactly the job that it's supposed to. No problems encountered and happy that I didn't listen to the negative reviews.
