DiV: After about 15+ years the inflatable tire on my wheelbarrow, probably due to not using it often and allowing it to rot away in my shed, became deflated and useless. I did some research and discovered this type of heavy duty wheelbarrow (they just don't make many like they used to) would cost me $250+ to replace, not to mention disposing of it. For under $50 I bought this replacement tire/wheel combo, a "flat free" solid unit. It was easy to install/replace on my wheelbarrow and should last me the rest of my natural born life (God willing).
Make sure you know what your hub length is, unlike this lay person did. I thought the hub length was measured on just one side of the wheel and ordered the 3" which turned out to be incorrect. You need to multiply that by two, 3" on each side. Thank goodness Amazon has an easy return policy.

Bierly: My wife reports that this is a bit of a stiff ride compared to inflatable tires, but our yard has black locust trees with thorns, it would be a nightmare dealing with flat tires so we are so happy to have this upgrade for our old wheelbarrow. Looks great, quality seems high. My only gripe is that I spent nearly an hour installing this because it doesn't come with any spacers, you need to use your old ones and if they are too big you need to cut them down, which meant finding my hacksaw, and hacking away. That was so painful I switched to the Dremel for the second one. For goodness sakes, for a few nickels include some plastic spacers to make this simple. Otherwise, great tire so far!

Fran: Very happy with this tire. I don't know how, but it seems I always have a flat tire on my wheelbarrow. So I researched and decided on this flat free tire, based on reviews and price. I didn't understand much of the technical sounding terminology being tossed around on Amazon's Q & A and reviews. So I just measured my flat tire, 14 inches in diameter and the rod that it rolls on and went with that. (There was no useful data stamped on the original tire as people indicated there should be). I went with this 13" tire since I couldn't find a 14". Fortunately, it was easy to remove the old tire and just as easy to "install" the new one. Beautiful. It did squeak a little, but not enough to complain about it. I didn't notice the size difference at all. I'm only hauling maybe 50 lbs at a time. Tire handles it well. The only problem is that it is so clean and shiny that it makes my old wheelbarrow look shabby!! LOL
