Aaren Bare: My newborn is 10 days old and we had still not been able to successfully establish a latch, so I was pumping and bottle feeding her. I was hopefully about nursing but as the days past with no successful latch, I was getting discouraged. I had tried other shields, but honestly I needed 3 hands because they wouldn’t stay in place, so I HATED nipple shields. But a friend recommended this one specifically and when it came in the mail, literally the first time we tried… she successful latched and nursed fully from the breast! I pumped after to just get a guesstimate of how much she ate, and she had nearly emptied my breast when nursing! I am so happy because I feel like this is a game changer for our breastfeeding journey!

Veronica Cunningham: SO glad this product exists. We were about to give up due to baby’s inability to latch or nurse - we had to give her a bottle of formula initially as my milk didn’t come in for 5 days. Then when we tried to start breastfeeding of course she was used to the bottle, and additionally my nipple was too small and breast too big for her to pull into her mouth like she would be able to with a bottle. Attempted breastfeedings were just a crying fit and lactation consultants weren’t able to help. After some prayer we tried this shield as a last hope and she was suddenly able to latch perfectly and nurse to satisfaction, and this has been working for weeks now. This shield stays on the breast much better than the other shields I’ve tried like Lansinoh, which the baby can pull off.

JKirk: Helped baby latch. Comfy and sticks on breast. Also got the madela shields I find these ones are better but are much more expensive. Recommend for latching issues.

Katie: I never write reviews, but this is worth it! My daughter had a tongue tie when she was born, and it was making breastfeeding extremely difficult for both of us. She hated the Medela shield that I got from the hospital and wouldn't latch. She does great with a bottle, so she started to figure things out with a Haakaa shield (that's much more bottle-nipple shaped), but the vent wasn't great on that one and it would suction flat (which pinched me and frustrated her). But this one is amazing and doesn't pinch me, actually gets her to latch, and has made it possible to actually breastfeed now! Don't give up on nursing your baby until you've at least given this a shot. Only thing that is less than ideal is that the oval shape makes it so that you have to pay attention to the direction you put it on so that baby can latch right

Amzon CustomerAmzon Customer: My baby is now 5 months old. For the past 5 months, we have been on a breastfeeding roller coaster. We saw 4 lactation consultants. Baby girl had posterior tongue tie, high palate and "small mouth". She had a frenectomy and a lot of my pain was resolved, however ... her latch improved only slightly. After the procedure, the LC assessed her latch and said “it’s still not great,” but could not offer any further advice. Baby continued to slip off the breast repeatedly, getting more and more frustrated at the breast... she would cry and flail and scream bloody murder (at times we thought she was reacting to gas, reflux, or whatever else we could come up with... but in hindsight, it was 100% frustration at not being able to adequately extract milk).

We resorted to primarily exclusive pumping with some breastfeeding (while using Medela nipple shields) prior to naps (when she wasn't ravenous and sleepy enough not to get impatient). She got a better latch with the Medela shields than bare breast, but still not great at all. She would get frustrated quite a bit, kick and turn her head... then the Medela shield would be slipping all over the place. Beyond frustrating for the...
