Suparna Kumar: I strapped two bags (one check in one hand luggage) together with one strap and it held them from the airport through public transport. So I think it's pretty sturdy.

BobbyBobby: I own a very nice Lands End backpack that I like to use for travel/sightseeing. The problem is that the straps are a bit short for my big/tall frame. I purchased these quality straps and was able to increase the length of my backpack straps to where I can comfortably use my pack, with all the adjustment I’d ever need, especially when wearing a coat or rain jacket.
I cut the original straps off my pack, leaving about 10 inches or so. I then attached my new straps, cut to desired length and used a lighter to seal the strap ends. Works great and I also have a detachment point at the buckle to quickly remove my pack if I’m wearing heavier winter clothes.

ChrisB803: Nicely made, but the buckles seem like they could be problematic. I used them to hold a sleeping bag on the back of my pack, and they held up well. I did need to tighten them a couple times, but you should always do that after a rest during any hike.
Overall I'd say they performed as well as I expected, and represent a good value. They also have decent instructions, which you'll need more than you realized with buckles like this.
