M-Tac Compression Sack: Compact Sleeping Bag Storage and Organization Bag for Camping and Hiking

E SharpE Sharp: Bought these for scout camping trips to consolidate pack items and protect gear. We take our uninflated sleep pad, roll it up, put it in and then unroll it…and then shove the sleeping bag in the middle and sometimes a travel pillow too…the bag is the same length as the width of our pad so it works perfectly…and then lightly compress everything. What used to take up a lot of room in the camp trunk now takes up much less and after camp when the trunk seems over stuffed, this is easy to carry on its own as a second bag with its own convenient handle. Works really well for scout camping, car camping, and i imagine the bag could be attached to the bottom of a pack for short through trips. Will try to get some more pics later. Oh, and these can be embroidered if you want them customized…not sure if it impacts water resistance but we haven’t had an issue yet.

Charles A Jennings, MC, LPC: I purchased this because tightly stuffing my sleeping bag into my previous compression sack has become too much of a chore for this 78-year-old adventurer. This bag offered 2 more litres of volume which was just enough. What disappointed me was how its closure is designed. My previous one had four belts sewn to a water repellent cap that was pulled down over the opening providing a complete seal against most anything. This design has two straps that cross each other over a stuff sack with the typical water resistant flap that tucks in around its circular opening. That design precludes having to untangle the straps like my previous sack, but when tightened, produces numerous puckering folds that would allow rain to enter. I am keeping it only because my backpacking days are behind me and now I am just interested in a compact load for transporting purposes.

Eric Magnet: I had ordered 3 different stuff sacks and this is the one I decided to keep. Unlike the others, the material of this bag is probably 3 times as thick. The compression straps are well stiched and look as if they will hold up for my lifetime. I would estimate this makes my sleeping bags 4x smaller than uncompressed, fantastic!

Fenris: Der mitgelieferte Kompressionsbeutel war zu knapp dimensioniert, um den Schlafsack immer wieder zu verpacken. Dieser passt und lässt sich brauchbar komprimieren.
Habe einen zweiten für den anderen Schlafsack bestellt - Das war der zweite Kompressionssack und der ist genau so gut, wie der andere ;-)

David Garvin: I was having trouble fitting my tent and sleeping bag in my 40L dry bag. Stuffed my REI long sleeping bag in, cinched it down, now I have room for a couple more things in my bag. Having the 3 straps across the middle, and 2 that go around the ends really help in compression

Michey: Ho utilizzato diversi sacchi a compressione ma mai nessuno realizzato con materiali così premium. Le cinghie in cordura e i passanti sono ottimi e ben realizzati, sono presenti tre lacci a compressione in cordura orizzontalmente e due verticalmente che si uniscono a croce. Su un lato è presente una maniglia per il trasporto. La facilità di alloggiamento in qualsiasi zaino è maggiorata anche dalla possibilità di ancorarlo con attacchi MOLLE. La percentuale di compressione è notevole. Aggiungo che è presente una copertura superiore utilizzata per coprire ciò che si alloggia al suo interno, poco sotto alla cinghia che chiude l’ingresso. Consigliato in qualsiasi utilizzo in cui lo spazio risulta essere prezioso. Spedizione di Amazon perfetta.

happykat: Last year I bought a Kelty Biggie camp blanket and the stuff sack provided was too small to squeeze the blanket back into the provided stuff sack. I bought this M Tac 12L stuff sack, which is bigger than the Kelty stuff sack, and I could not fit the Kelty Biggie blanket into this M Tac stuff sack and will have to return it. I wish they offered a 16 L stuff sack, and move the 12 L stuff sack to a size small because I'm very happy with the look and durability of this item.

FYI, I've owned several compression stuff sacks and am unwilling to force my expensive sleeping bags and blankets into stuff sacks where I need a stick or broom handle to press them down, in case I rip my gear. I used all my strength with my hand and fingers to try and smoosh my blanket into this 12L sack with zero success. I did return this item and found a 17L stuff sack, the same price as this one but not as well made and with much flimsier material, and was able to stuff my Kelty blanket into it with ease.

Kangster: My sleeping bag BARELY fit inside this compression sack, but it does the job very well. A bit hard to attach securely to the bottom of a bag though
