G.W.: Moved into a new home with two light bulbs in the garage. I had a similar unit to this laying around and used it in our new attic. Made a huge difference so I thought I'd try and couple of screw in light units before hanging multiple 4-foot led bulb banks. I did that in my old garage and it was about two hours of attic time and $220 for materials. These things are awesome! No thoughts of hanging bank lighting in the garage now.

Amazon Customer: It is unrealistic to ask for a rating on longevity when I just bought these lights. I'll need to wait the claimed lifespan to answer this rating question.

Riggs: So far it is holding up to "as advertised"quality, however with only 1 month of intermittent use I have no idea of longevity.
note: This unit comes with a mounting bracket (cone shaped) which I suspect is designed for directly mounting to a surface where a power wire exists, circumventing a real electrical junction box.
For safety discard it. With a fee dollars more, install an electrical box and a porcelain receptical to screw the light into.

koala50: We have talked about getting lights like this for a couple years (for in our garage) and just never did. We just had standard lightbulbs in the ceiling "fixture" - literally just the basic socket. I saw these as an Amazon Prime deal and figured now was the perfect time. These lights are great! They are so bright!! And we literally unscrewed the lightbulb and screwed these in - Done! My husband tweaked the angle of the "arms" to get the light exactly where he wanted it (aimed at workbench, stairs, etc.) but even with that we were done in about 5 minutes. We've only had them about a week so I can't steak to longevity but based on everything else, these are a winner.
