richiedee: There ok, I have had better. But this was the best buy for the buck I could find. THEY ARE NOT KIDDING ABOUT WASHING AND DRYING AT LEAST 3 TIMES. DO IT !!! KEEP CHECKING THE LINT FILTER ON THE DRYER EVERY 10 TO 15 MINUTES. Not exactly what I like to do on a Sunday. Spending 5 hours in a laundromat, but it is what it is. Would I buy them again ? Not sure if I would at this point.

SarahSarah: Possibly like others, I'm the sort of person who, when looking for something on Amazon, I'll buy the item which has the most reviews, thinking you can't go wrong with something that's clearly pleased thousands of others above a plethora of other options. And, thus, I hardly ever check said reviews. Seeing that the product(s) have more reviews than any other listed item is enough to sell me on it.

It's sometimes only after I've placed my order & it's possibly even shipped that I bother to check what people are saying about the item, just out of curiosity. Which is what I did with the towels & washcloths I ordered here. And I panicked when I saw all the negative reviews about the extreme amounts of lint these items produce in washers, dryers, & upon other items, as well as the people using them. It was discerning to read that people were even having to empty their lint traps multiple times during a cycle due to it. Or, that they were having to clean out their washers, because it was stuck everywhere inside.

Deneve: Will these towels stand the test of time and numerous washes? Unknown. But after the first initial wash, use and second wash (I do not use fabric softner), they are still super soft and fluffy. My other towels now feel like sandpaper by comparison. I can't say if the quality will hold up after many more washes, but so far so good. Not pulled strings, no piling, no lint, no loss of softness, no loss of colour. For the moment, these have exceeded my expectations and I am happy with my purchase. I would recommend these. Good value for the price.

Phillip Hinson: These towels are amazing! I bought both this and the 6-piece set in dark red. Very soft towels that are comparable to -but not quite as spectacular- as other luxury towels I've used. After a quick inspection for any issues (loose strings, edges, sewing, etc.) I threw them in the wash on warm water (no detergent, no softener) then tumble dry low. Yes, there was an absurd amount of lint, but nothing to get upset about, so I did another cycle, then another cycle before there was no/very little lint.

Overall, I'm giving these towels 4-stars. They are a great buy for someone looking to upgrade their towels at an affordable cost. The only reason I am giving 4-stars instead of 5-stars is because the color doesn't quite match what you see. I was expecting these to be a true, burgundy, but alas, they are not. Maybe in comparison to the company's red towels, but not what I would consider to be burgundy.
