H. Bos: Ik vergelijk de LUXUN 12×25 verrekijker met mijn oude 10×25 NIKON verrekijker.
Wat mij bij de LUXUN (12×25) direct op viel was dat de vergroting kleiner is dan die van mijn oude NIKON (10×25) verrekijker. En dat, terwijl de LUXUN 12× vergroot t.o.v. een 10× vergroting van de NIKON kijker.
Wat mij ook direct opviel was, dat het beeld helderder is dan die van mijn oude NIKON kijker. De BAK4 prisma's in de LUXUN zijn duidelijk van betere kwaliteit dan de prisma's in mijn oude NIKON kijker.
Qua vergroting is de LUXUN dus: teleurstellend.
De diameter van 25mm lens is in werkelijkheid 24mm. Ronduit slordig!
Er komt een nare weekmaker geur van de verrekijker af. En gezien het feit, dat je kijker dicht bij je neus houdt; vind ik dat problematisch.
De LUXUN is niet zo makkelijk scherp te stellen als mijn oude 10×25 NIKON.

Mijn overall mening: Ik vindt de LUXUN12×25(24) teleurstellen en heb de kijker dan ook retour gestuurd.

Adolfo Arauz: For the price they are, they are fine. I use them, to see the stars, it has several settings. It is not a telescope, but it helps you to see well, some stars, you must from time to time, when Venus approaches to earth, you can see the brightness of this planet, recently there was a small alignment of planets, you look at each other more or less, but if you see the moon, when it is totally full. You can appreciate the craters. They serve their purpose.

David: I'm a collector of sorts for binoculars and monoculars, and this set is my new favorite in the budget class. Unlike many, the eye relief is just right, so I get a good image without having to hold the glasses further away from my eyes. They're extremely small and portable.
I wondered if I would have trouble holding these still enough with the 12X magnification, but it hasn't been a problem when I'm seated. I use these primarily to look at birds at the feeder, and I've been enjoying the view of some small woodpeckers and a very young cardinal recently.
They're not true night vision - the coatings are good, so you can use them at dusk, but I've given them a low rating in that regard, since users shouldn't expect to use these in the dark.
This is a real review, and I haven't been promised anything for offering my opinion - I honestly believe most users will be happy with these. I like these enough that I'll probably get an extra pair as a gift this week.

Xiaoxia W.: Nice binoculars and great price. It makes clear images from far away objects. It is light weight and easy to use, which is quite suitable for kids. My son was very excited to receive it. He uses it to look everywhere in the park, and even uses it to look outside all the time when sitting in the car! It is definitely a great present for children, although also a nice tool for adults.

Amazon Customer: These are excellent binoculars for general bird watching and provide clear views at good magnification without significant colouration or distortion. I have not tried them at night and they are not specifically made for such use. For the price they are great.

Rob: Overall, a very good but not great image, but for the price, you really can't beat them. Not QUITE as sharp edge-to-edge as my similar, long lost Nikons, but those were 5x the price, so they should be better. Just wanted something inexpensive and basic for general, once-in-a-while use and these will fit the bill. The semi-rubberized, coarsely-knurled grips and focus wheel provide a firm, confident grip

The focus wheel feels solid, but has some play. if you turn it one way and overshoot your focus point, you have to move it about 1/8 of a turn the opposite way before focus starts to reverse. There is also just a hint of chromatic aberration in high-contrast scenes - such as dark tree limbs against a bright sky. Most of the time you can't see it. But again, you really can't complain. For the price, these are a very good pair of binoculars. If you're really picky about the image, pony up the extra $ and buy a better pair.

UPDATE: be aware, I found a business card in the box that offered "the chance" to win a prize if you submit a 5-star review. I had already submitted my review, so that did not influence it, but it's something to factor in...
