Luvay Lightweight Keyboard Stand - Perfect for Home and Studio Use

Dr. Heem: It's lightweight but once the screws are tight it doesn't wobble. Not really suitable for gigging but for a rehearsal room it's fine. The screw holes were decently threaded, assembly took 5 minutes. Leave the screws a tad loose til they are all in, then tighten them all up.

NOTE: the two extra long skinny screws are for fastening the keyboard to the top.

Pete B.Pete B.: This is an excellent stand for holding my 61-note keyboard. All the pieces are steel so they are strong but light in weight. The top and center cross pieces are on perpendicular planes from each other and being so, their connection between the two side pieces makes the stand very stable. There was no wobble when I put it together. The height is easily adjustable. The width of the stand is fixed at 32 inches wide. Keyboards less than 32 inches wide would would not be held properly. The four corners of the top have rubber to protect the bottom of the keyboard. To maximize knee room, I oriented the stand so its feet ends extend toward the seated player, thus the center cross piece is slanting away from the player's legs. Some ad photos show the keyboard placed backwards on the stand. Assembly of the stand is with knob-screws.

The only problem I found was that the holes that accept the screws were not tapped very well, so I used a M6-1.0 tap to clean the holes first and then it only took a few minutes to assemble. If a person is patient and careful in starting the screws through the holes, a tap would not be necessary.

Christopher Blanar: A perfectly workable light keyboard stand. A few comments:
- Easy assembly, although it took some effort to get a couple of the screws to thread properly.
- This thing is VERY light: don't count on gigging with this, or repeatedly assembling / disassembling, or playing heavily on it. My controller weighs 13-14 pounds and I'm not sure I'd put a much bigger keyboard on this.
- they really mean 54-61 keys. The way the top part is set up means is can't support smaller 49-key keyboards without some basic modding (which I easily did)
- Once assembled it looks like it rests unevenly on the floor, but once the weight of the keyboard is on, it's stable.

SGB: I wanted a keyboard stand that would fit in my keyboard gig bag and the x style stands, when folded, are much longer than my keyboards. That means the stands won't fit in the gig bag. This stands comes apart and packs nicely. It assembles into a really sturdy stand. The keyboard can be mounted onto the stand, which is nice. I teach children so that provides added security for my situation.

It would be nice if all the screws could be left attached to the support members when disassembled. I keep them bagged up in my case but working with children means the less loose pieces the better!

I've read other reviews for this product that indicate it is not sturdy. I am not finding this to be the case at all. I have not had it long, but do not see signs that it will become flimsy with wear. I'm very pleased with this product so far. I am considering buying another one for other keyboards.
