It is rough, which may not be the best to use on your face unless you are looking for that feature. It works like a loofah, but creates a really great lather, rinses easily, and dries quickly. I've been testing one at home and have used the second one in my camper shower. The hanging loop allows for quick drying. Packs small and would be great for any type of traveling.

Josh RobertsJosh Roberts:
I wanted to give these some real world use before I gave them a review and since it's now be 5 whole YEARS or constant use since my purchase I figured it's time.
Short review:
I've NEVER "washed" them, they've held up, they pack tiny, they dry REALLY fast, they don't smell, they exfoliate, I'm impressed, and I'll be buying more! (but only to gift them)
Longer review:
Let me start by saying I fell in love with these as soon as I got them.
They are just rough enough to feel like you're getting a good deep clean but not so harsh that its uncomfortable in any way. It's true that they don't hold a lather very long but who cares, it's just long enough to clean a 5'6" body (if you fold it in quarters and start from the top of your body) and that's what matters.
They feel like a flat loofah but are way more convenient and super easy to pack for camping and travel. I just rinse it off really good in the shower, ball or roll it up in my used drying towel for a few seconds to suck the water out of it then mash it in a little pocket in my toiletry bag. No real need to air dry.
They have never once picked up a smell, even after...

KB:
Pros: Lightweight; Dries fast; Lathers; Roughness of fabric didn't bother my sensitive skin (wasn't used on face)
Cons: Slippery/Grip is poor (you can barely hold on to it while cleaning your body)
Questionable: The "self-cleaning/"you'll never need to wash it" claim doesn't make sense, as this would imply that you can stick the entire washcloth in mud, blood, wine, chemicals, or any other pollutants, then hang it, and it would fully remove all stains and contaminants on its own without human intervention. Regarding the other claim of "will rinse clean every time": *appearing* to be clean is not the same as the fibers *actually* being clean. These claims seem to be a marketing ploy only; however, when I decide to get rid of the cloth I will conduct some fun home tests to be certain.
Bottomline: Without being able to get a good grasp of the fabric, and it bunching up as you use it, it takes longer to shower and with less ease because the cloth needs to be continuously readjusted. For this reason, I don't know if the above "pros" will keep me using this. Buy it if you pack minimally and/or want something that dries fast, but don't need the product to...

Sewcrafty:
While this will never replace my regular wash cloth it will come in handy for travel and/or camping or when I really want to exfoliate.
This wash cloth is very rough and very thin and flimsy. It does a great job of exfoliating, which is not something you want to do daily. Since it's so thin and flimsy it doesn't hold its shape well which makes it difficult to use as a wash cloth. I tried holding it flat in my hand but it flopped over and didn't work well that way. I finally scrunched it up and used it like a bath puff which worked OK but then it was pretty tiny. For those reasons I prefer to use a regular wash cloth unless I really need to scrub my skin because it's real dirty or because I want to exfoliate.
This would be great though for travel especially to foreign countries that do not provide wash cloths in their hotel rooms, (such as Iatly), because ti dries so fast. You can shower with it the evening before you leave, or even that morning and pack it up shortly afterward. There's no need to put it in a plastic bag, as it will dry out quickly and be ready to go at your next destination.
The quick drying and ability to rinse it out completely also...

Amanda: I bought this to use for the summer as a camp counselor. I knew I'd have to often shove the washcloth back in my bag and that I wouldn't want to have to wash it. This washcloth worked great!! It's super lightweight and has a nice light sort of exfoliation. I like a bit of exfoliation so I liked it but it's definitely rough when you first buy it. Mine softened up to a texture I really like after a few weeks of consistent use. This thing also lathers up super well!! I use bar soap and it's usually a struggle to find anything that gives me some good suds, but this absolutely does! It does also, as advertised, dry quickly even when you shove it into a backpack while it's still wet. I have never washed it (4 months later) and it's never smelled bad or seemed gross. Suffice it to say this is now the only washcloth I use even when I'm not camping. Highly reccommend!!!
