Jaye22: Lexie is a Tv producer and is going to make a documentary based in Paris and will also feature the Palace of Versailles and the beautiful gardens which sound amazing. This trip is also an opportunity for her to find out more about her grandmother’s visit. She spent a year working in the palace gardens but curiously nothing was ever mentioned or discussed.

This visit will mean spending the springtime in Paris and she needs an interpreter who comes in the shape of Ronan who Lexie chose because she is hopeful that his grandfather may have known her grandmother as he worked in the gardens.

As she works seamlessly with Ronan a friendship forms and they turn out to have more in common than they think. As they form a connection piece by piece they unearth a painful tragedy and truths that one of them finds hard to accept, what will happen to their hearts in the process? ….

Diane Kitevski: Lexi and Ronan portray two strangers becoming friends and colleagues because of their attachment and attraction to Versailles. As they grow closer they begin to see that they were led by a common thread that leads them to become lovers.
This is a beautiful love story with its highs and lows, companionship and misunderstandings.

Kindle Customer: Who doesn't like a good romance read? This was a well written love story and history of Versailles. It bright back memories of my time In Paris 1993 and my all to quick visit to Versailles.. So beautiful, no expense was spared in building an amazing palace. Loved the book!

Sharon Howard: I did rather enjoy this book. It was thought provoking. Having visited Versailles and enjoying the gardens so much more than palace it had somewhat of a deeper meaning and made the story more personal. This is not a normal love story, it is a vision that shows love being greater than two people. It highlights thought, consideration and the consequences of not having all the facts. It opens your eyes to the truly important things that we do often take for granted.

Catherine: Very interesting story. Really liked that there was no, in your face, pervasive sex. None! Give me old fashioned, Elizabeth and Darcy, real romance any time! - which was woven throughout this lovely tale. Marvellous descriptions of the Palace and historical buildings exterior and interior - all the intricate details - and of the gardens as well. Was a tad disappointed when they went up into Ronan's attic and brought down antique household items - we only were allowed to see the beautiful crystal bowl! I wanted to know all the interesting details of how they spruced up his lovely, spacious grandma's house. I would have expected the same attention to detail as was given in earlier descriptions of the Royal spaces. It was almost as if those were written by someone else. But great story, good plot and unexpected surprises along the way made for a very good read. Well done Lucy! 5 Stars!

Suzanne.: Interesting romantic fiction featuring a strong female producer from the UK who travels to Versailles to film a series on the fantastic gardens and the people who design and maintain them. Along the way a romance develops with an interpreter only to discover a connection that had bound their grandparents together while they worked at the gardens 60 years before. Enjoyable read and great information about one of the world's treasures and the French way of life.

SilverNana: I’ve read books by Lucy before, I was eager for this one. 2020 ushers in a spring none of us will ever forget. The possibility of a trip to Versailles, the gardens, new beginnings...just the release I was wanting. What I didn’t envision were the family dynamics, hidden secrets, a tale with twists and turns that I incorrectly felt I could predict. Lexie and Ronan were clearly meant to find one another, the inevitably written the year her grandmother spent in France working in the gardens. There are priceless lessons on the gifts nature provides...that are often overlooked. There are nuggets on truths, half truths, and the role our perception plays in our vision...and our relationships with others. Such a lovely, thought provoking read...one I readily recommend.

AdeleAdele: This is my first introduction to the work of Lucy Coleman and I really enjoyed this gentle romance set in Versailles, France. I have to admit I was initially drawn to this story because of Versailles. I visited the Palace and Gardens back in the Autumn last year and the wondrous sight that I was met with left me mesmerised. So I was intrigued to read a novel about a historical place that is so iconic and also a place that I've recently visited. I've included one of my favourite photos I took from my visit just to give you a small insight into the beauty of Versailles.
You don't need to have visited Versailles prior to reading this novel as the words from the author take you on a detailed spectacular journey. Although after reading this novel I think you will want to visit this beautiful property and gardens.
A Springtime to Remember is Lexie's story who is involved in a new TV production of a documentary on the gardens of Versailles. Lexie also has a vested personal interest in the gardens as her late grandmother spent a year working on the gardens prior to her returning home in the UK to marry Lexie's grandfather. There is mystery surrounding this year that Grandma Vivian...
