cathy: We have purchased about ten X large antlers from Devil Dog Co. The excellent quality is consistent, they are orderless, durable and keep my Aussie and Border Collie busy for hours. They are long lasting, not messy and they are from the United States. I highly recommend these!

Roger Parvin: New pit bull from shelter. Abused dog. Large pooch but still a puppy. The rest of the parents dogs are small ones and not much in the house for a dog this size to relax and chew on. Mom asked for something. So I bought this. Koko saw me pull it out of the box and her eyes lit up. She grabbed and ran. It’s a big bone so she wobbled a bit at first standing up. She loves that bone. Carries it everywhere she goes. Sleeps with it. They are a bit pricey but think all dog items are now. All in all she is happy, mom is happy so worth it

Gecko GirlGecko Girl: Purchased this for my 14 month old Golden Retriever, who is a perfessional chewer. She is rarely left alone. My son was staying with her while we traveled but had to go to work. We were so concerned about her being alone and bored. She has lots of toys and Benebones, but we wanted something special to help occupy her. A large elk antler did the trick, she LOVES it! She was great on the days when she was alone. When someone came to let her out and play at noon, she went and got her antler as soon as they were ready to leave.
After ten days it looks like the picture. The ends are worn down. A few tiny pieces came off in the beginning, but nothing a Golden can't handle. The antler was good size, doesn't smell, and isn't gross at all. She just dug it out of her toy basket this morning as the first chew of the day! It's a good buy, don't hesitate if your worried about quality, durability, or safety!

The monsters are for my Great Dane and/or Labrador (as we try to have them be interchangeable) and then the XL are for my sons German Shepherd (with one of them having been for my lab prior to the Dane).
You have the background, the dogs love them, there is NO odor (unlike some other chews), I haven't had anything break or splinter off.
My most recent XL is XL by length, but concerning by diameter. It is 1" at the base, and about 1/2" at the tip. This is a concern for my sons GSD, I can't swap it out it for my Lab because I know it won't be safe for the Dane when they swap them around. They aren't return eligible. So I will have to order a next size up, and then make a donation to the local shelter with this one.
