Ecookie: The front od desk is wrinkled, like a sticker not put on right. Air bubbles maybe on the white paint. 25 steps for assembly and each step has about 3 steps... drawers are flimsy. Its a cute desk for my 7 year old son for the time being tho.

Sassy: I really wish I could give 3.5 stars. Definitely not a 4 star desk, but decent.
First of all, yes, several pieces came damaged and/or chipped. They are noticeable when assembled. And even though this desk is extremely cheap, I would expect to have not such kind of flaws. That is the biggest disappointment of the entire purchase.
Having said that, the instructions were very easy to follow, the hardware was labeled perfectly. The drawers lined up great. The bottoms of the drawers are a thinner material, but they are totally fine.
So for a very inexpensive desk, I am happy with it, except for the damage that was evident upon arrival. If there weren’t those imperfections, I would happily rate this desk 4 stars.
Last note- my son is almost 12 and fits fine at this desk. I actually wouldn’t even want a bigger desk and it is the perfect size for his room.

Chewbacalaca: Normally flat pack furniture is hit or miss and usually ends up being more towards the miss side, but this desk is actually pretty good.

The material is thick, and even if not "real wood" feels very solid. The holes and such were all aligned correctly, and I had 0 issues assembling two of these desks. Looking back at the negative reviews, it's possible a bad batch went out at some point (it happens).

It's easy to assemble, the directions are clear (and one or two drawer pieces don't 100% match their illusteatons, pro a lot due to parts changing over time), but it's pretty easy to figure out what is what. If you can't follow ikea style directions, I'm not sure what to say other than have it assembled for you or buy more expensive, pre assembled furniture.

I'm actually quite pleased that the desk design has pretty solid lateral support, so unlike other cheap desks that will sway side to side and eventually collapse, these are good.

For the price, I can't complain.

Mom: 1. none of the hardware was labelled. 5 other pieces also were not labeled.
2. the wide front drawer falls when opened, it doesn't have a sturdy base underneath like the other drawers.
3. They call an unlabeled part that apparently supports the structure "paper board construction." It is literally just cardboard that you may mistake for garbage especially as it was unlabeled.
4. for all the difficulty to assemble it doesn't look that great, ok but the drawers don't fit as nicely as the pictures.
5. holes don't align, very messy work at the factory

This is the second substandard assembled furniture we bought off Amazon. Remote learning meant there were no desks at Ikea (and Ikea will take your money and then not deliver for months then say the item is out of stock). Ikea furniture is far easier to assemble. This is NOT worth it, do yourself a favor and buy something nicer and easier. Best to never buy furniture that need assembly again.

The main lesson during the pandemic, after sub par quality from Amazon, Ikea and Overstock, is that assembled furniture is no longer worth it. Better to save for real furniture if possible. There were other desks but they...
