Eva Cecilie Holm: It,s difficult to find the recipe for a cake you know the name of. The index shows different pastries, different custards f.ex, but few cakes are listed under a name.

Veronica Martin: The book is great however it would be very helpful if a conversion table was included. Many bakers in the US watch the show and have a very hard time with the recipes

Laurals: I love to read cookbooks. This doesn't always mean I love to bake or cook. This cookbook, "The Great British Bake Off: Everyday," has been a real fun read for me. It had some interesting desserts my Grandmother would make when I was a child. Wonderful memories of her kitchen. I enjoyed and continue to enjoy browsing through this book and the pictures are great. As far as using the recipe's, it is a little more of a challenge as the metric system is used for measurements. I will work this out and add to my review as I try out the recipes.

Gary Gazgoth: This book covers the contestants of the shows with MARY BERRY and Paul. There is a newer book with the contestants and Paul and Prue and the recipies from new Series 1 and 2. This book is by far and away more expensive and i've no idea why. It doesn't inspire me as much as the new show and the recipies are a little more bland for my liking. It could also be that these shows were over 3 years ago now so it doesn't tie in as fresh. As for the newer book there were some blinders in those 2 series with Rahul getting a hand shake almost every episode. For some strange reason this book is so much cheaper than the previous books with Mary Berry. No idea why but having reviewed BOTH books I would say this is NOT the better book. So only buy this one after the other one (which is cheaper) and then if you are still feeling passionate buy this one.

HMS Warspite: Ever watch the Great British Baking Show, with its great judges, very game competitors, and often marvelous food, and wish you could cook like that? Here's your chance. This baking cook book offers 100 recipes from the show, for everything from cakes to biscuits to breads to pastry to pudding. The recipes are straightforward, and the book is lavishly illustrated. There is an explanation of terms and tools upfront. Warning: The recipes use metric measures; be prepared to convert. Well recommended.

Amazon Customer: This is something that the missus purchased, and is displayed with a concerning amount of pride on a shelf in the kitchen. I am baffled as to why we need to dedicate this entire shelf to a collection of 20ish books, each of which only seems to get opened once every 4 years. Anywhoo, this book is kept at the front and now the portly silver-haired man (who rather oddly appears to be called Mary, if the cover is to be believed) and his frail, elderly compadre now stand proudly upon their shelf, overlooking the kitchen like little paperback sentrys, gazing down upon us with their cold, emotionaless death stare... it feels like they're judging me and it gives me the heebie-jeebies. :(
From what I'm told, it's a "delightful" recipe book. I've only looked at the pictures personally (and I can confirm, they are wonderful pictures). Regardless, I must knock a star off out of spite for being spooked by the cover.

Kaz and the chicks: Yet another book in the Bake off series which like the previous ones, impresses with every recipe. This book is laid out well with everyday type recipes then 'weekend' sections for items which either take longer to prepare or bake. The Apple and Oat Muffins are delicious and disappeared swiftly after baking! They're perhaps slightly heavier than traditional muffins, maybe due to the addition of oats but never the less they're a winner.
Roasted Apples with Butterscotch Sauce were also well received after a mid week meal, very easy to do - I served them without the Vanilla Sables mentioned in the recipe as I didn't have time to make them as well so would try that another time to see what dimension that adds. Nice to see a couple of Soda Bread recipes with different favouring, the Crunchy Bacon version makes a filling accompaniment to a bowl of home made soup.
Would recommend this book, well laid out, various tips scattered through out. Perhaps the only downside is not everything has a photo but that's usually only if it's a different flavour or version to something you'd probably already what it should look like.

Mrs. E. Preval: It's August and that can only mean one thing, another series of the Great British Bake Off is almost upon us. To accompany the new series comes this book which contains over 100 delicious treats from across the baking spectrum. The book is easy to read due to the font and typeface that has been used. Most of the recipes should be achievable for the average baker although the technical challenge and showstopper recipes may prove somewhat more taxing. You may need to purchase some baking equipment to produce some of the recipes in this book. For example, one of the recipes calls for a 10cm cake tin, something which I do not have as of yet. Likewise, some specialist ingredients may need to be sought and hopefully these will be found in your local supermarket but if not there are plenty of online shops that specialise in baking ingredients.
I should warn those of you that like a picture to accompany each recipe that only about 40% of the bakes in this book have a picture of the finished product.
The contents page of the book is as follows:
