DJ: Moved into a new house and bought ten to replace a lot of old style flip switches. These have a lower light output vs switches I had in my old house. They definitely have a dark orange glow with much less light output which is probably best suited for a bedroom but not a bathroom or other rooms. The images most people have uploaded is indeed the true color of a dark orange. The orange is harder to find in the dark than the white LED illuminated switches I was used to in my old house.

Edit: 1 out of 10 switches was bad. Was allowing current flow even while off and LED wasn’t working on the bad switch also.

ROB: This Leviton #5611 white lighted switch is the best ever. I had these installed in my house 35years ago and sold my house. In a condo now and am replacing lots of my switches with this cat #. To me the reason they are so superior is the entire top part of the switch glows a soft orange when the switch is in the OFF position. Easy to see the switch at night. Most lighted switches just have a tiny little light that glows when switch is off for you to see at night. Useless.

Eleon: I bought is by mistake thinking it was 3way. It wasn’t. I kept it and bought another 3 Way illuminated switch. It came in handy.

Alberta Hiker: For those who find the room too dark to find the switch, there is no better solution to the problem than this. Outfitting my house with them in every room and they are working great and everyone is happy. Should have done it years ago.

Dan: The red light inside of it flickers a little bit here and there but for the most part glows solid. That is annoying. I would say that it could be the wiring, but the switch I took out did not have the same flicker and the flicker occurs on other locations.
I am kind of annoyed by the flickering. But, the switch works (replacing one that died) and the switch is in a location where I don't see it that often.
It did easily wire up. It is really just that the red light inside flickers that is annoying me. And, I can't really even tell if it has been redesigned to purposely do that or mine is defective. But all the other ones in my house do not flicker so I knocked off a star.

Blaydese: PRO:

1. Works.
2. Easy to install.
3. No third wire or special wires needed to power the small light.

CON:

1. Not as bright as I'd hoped for.
2. Instructions are really small on the INSIDE of the box.
3. White might get dirty in a garage setting.

OTHER:

1. Make sure you turn off the power, wowowowow, it tickles when you bump them live wires. :-)
2. No wall plate, this is only the switch.
3. Ground wire (green) does not have to be used, but it's a nice touch.

Harpic: I would have loved to give this 5 stars - I really would.
Functionally, it is perfect. Easy to install. Rocks smoothly and clicks reassuringly. Works well. The level of illumination of the integral light is perfect too - easy to see, but not so bright as to be harsh and jarring.
So why are we one star short?
It glows orange! Orange! Orange??? Who chose orange? Now orange lights may be perfect for low-pressure sodium street lights, and for a myriad of INDUSTRIAL applications. But an industrial look for the home? Don't get me wrong. This orange- lit rocker switch may be fine for communal corridors, or the garage - but for the bedroom or living room, or bathroom - its a little too industrial in feel.
I think that this choice of color will put many people off buying it.
I do hope that the designers and manufacturers are reading this. A very soft white, or even a nice muted green, or blue, would be more appropriate for most domestic situations. But Orange? - I ask you.

UPDATE
The switches still work functionally well as the above review. Sadly they will have to be removed. :( 'The Management' doesn't like their orange glow ('feels like being in a petro-chemical...
