Gave these as a present to my friend's 11 year old girl on her birthday because I can't remember a time when I didn't live 501s. Also, apparently all girls know are leggings these days!? Well, they were a hit. I know because she promptly trashed them and wore them to her first (P!nk) concert. Success. BTW I bought the 12 for an avg sized 11 yo girl and they fit.
