This brush, being small with soft flexible tines, is perfect for her and she loves being brushed now. Our other cat, who’s not exactly thin, loves this brush too.

Zack M: We recently brought home a medium hair cat, and we could immediately tell his hair was going to need some special attention. I bought this brush/comb along with a few others, and this is surprisingly the most useful. It’s lightweight and it might feel like it’s plastic teeth wouldn’t do enough, but it’s amazing how well it actually works. I wouldn’t count on it for removing major matting or tangles, but once we gave our cat a major brushing when he first came home, we’ve been able to use this brush primarily to maintain the condition of his fur. he wouldn’t like to sit down with the metal brush as often as he needs to, but with this one I’m able to do a little bit every day without issue. He likes it, it’s not very intimidating because it’s so small, it doesn’t pull very hard, and he will even let me comb through his tummy with it. We also have a short hair cat who’s afraid of normal metal brushes, and even she will put up with this brush for a little while!

If you have a cat with long hair or a cat who is intimidated by large metal brushes, this product is a great addition to your tool set.

sally k: I have 2 short-haired tabbies with wildly differing coats and this brush works well for both of them. I can use a typical slicker brush for the girl, but the boy not only hates the slicker brush, it's absolutely ineffective on him (his "fur" isn't floofy, it's more slick). There are some pros & cons to Leo's Paw, but overall, an effective brush to have.

pros:
- Easy to hold.
- Not as harsh as a traditional slicker brush or any cat brush I've encountered, so it's great for use around the head.
- Less teeth means you can effectively comb in smaller areas.
- It's (almost annoyingly) effective at removing dead undercoat.

cons:
- Can be a bit messy. You have to constantly remove the fur from the comb and often times, clumps of fur won't transfer to the comb and end up on cat. My work around is having some hypoallergenic wet wipes handy and wipe the comb to remove the fur each time, or else it ends up flying everywhere. I also have to take to the time to pet any clumps off the cat.

M. Boomgaard: I bought this comb for my 18-year-old cat. Lately, she's developed a bit of arthritis, and as a result, she doesn't groom herself as much as she used to. Her fur - especially the undercoat - sheds and mats. Sometimes, I try to brush her or detangle her by hand, but I always wind up hurting her.
I watched the videos and read the reviews. I hoped that when I used this product, she would let me remove more of those tangles and that undercoat.
So - the product definitely works. It does not scratch, it does lift out loose fur. She even purrs when I comb her with it.
BUT - it does not work miracles. Her sore joints are still sore, and my cat will not tolerate this comb on her sore spots any more than she tolerated her old brush. They were both about as effective, too.
I do like the comb. It is easy to hold and easy to use. And, she does like it, and enjoys being combed. But, I don't know that it's any better than the other brush we've had for years.
If you don't have a brush or comb for your cat, I would recommend this one. But, if you have one your cat likes, I don't know that this one will be any better.
