Richard T.: I purchased this for my grandson nearly a year ago. Though I've gravitated to purchasing the Technic sets, as in most cases there are more pieces, a higher level of complexity, and the final product doesn't fall apart so easily. When I was perusing future Lego sets to buy with my grandson, this one came up and he really wanted it. My hesitance to buying the old school Lego sets is that they take very little time to assemble. This set cost about $75 and it's just a half an afternoon project for my five year old grandson. That's a pricey half day of entertainment for a five year old. But I'm glad we purchased. He's assembled, disassembled, and reassembled this set 3-4 times in the last year, so I feel like I got the bang for my buck.

Library Lil: LEGO toys are high quality, presently made in Denmark, soon to be manufactured in USA. They are expensive, but hold their value and last for generations. Just know your kiddo’s interests. Adults collect LEGOs too. Save the box and you can resell at a high price when the kids outgrow them, IF they outgrow them.
