DDJK: Very odd book, which was expected. Took it out on a road trip and got lots of cringes and giggles from the group.

Ben Harris: Absolutely streaming tears of laughter. Read this with my husband and we were in hysterics the whole time. So silly but so funny. Loved it. Have bought a copy for my best friend's husband and my husband's friend and will recommend it always. I cannot express how much my eyes and stomach hurt from laughing so much. We read the whole thing in an evening and it's really made our night.

storyink: I cannot get enough of Lord Birthday's wisdom. I'm a rabid fan -- long before I knew who he is in real life. a MASTER and PIONEER of required tips for our modern day.
I've taken to every now and then photocopy a page that is somewhat relevant and mailing to my granddaughter. She particularly loved the "7 Mental Tricks to Overcome Depression." She wants the book. She's 10 years old.
Thank you Lord Birthday - you help me in my darkest moments. Sometimes I just dig deeper in the darkness. But at least I'm laughing.

Asia C.: Genau wie erwartet!schönes Buch

Becky: As someone who grew up hooked on Far Side I really appreciate the weirdness of the good Lord. The book is predominantly lists that are playful, satirical, ironic, and even darkly comical accomplished through surprising juxtapositions of images and diction (um, poetry?!). It is funny and very weird and the language swings between high/low registers (even words it seems the Lord has made up on his lil' lonesome) with lots of sonic texture through alliteration and rhyme and stuff. The illustrations are super odd and hilarious. There's a certain ambiguity to them that definitely communicates a discomfort I find solace in--this idea I might not be the only one out there who is a little freaked out! Isn't this the blessing of comedy? In this, I appreciate the writer's attempt to put some order into the chaos of the world through the guise of lists and absurdity. . . especially jogging and the looming apocalypse.

Senor G.: Lord Birthday comes from the clouds.
He comes from that space inside you. That space where your deepest secrets live. Like when you stole your sister's expensive sunglasses right before she went on her junior year abroad in Rome. And boy did she love those glasses. And the funny thing was they didn't even look that good on you and you never even wore them once while she was gone. Or the time you planted those hypodermic needles that your grandma used for her diabetes in that awful Rusty Hillbrich's desk and then left an anonymous note on the teacher's desk. "I saw something strange in Rusty's desk. Signed, - a friend" and then that look on Rusty's face when Ms, Chapleau opened his desk. So damn delightful.
Anyhoo, there are literally no words in the English language to describe how much I love Lord Birthday. He (?) is the best and I hope his first child is a masculine child. Thank you. Buy this book.

Ashley D: This is one of the funniest and potentially most influential books I have ever had the pleasure of reading.
The insights are insightful, the advice is advisable and the romance is romantical.
I very seldom read, as its quite controversial in its nature, but I think... no. I know everyone should read this book from back to front then front to back and even top to bottom. You will not be displeased, disappointed or disenchanted. You will be quite the opposite and especially enchanted.
Lord Birthday is a firecracker of wit, love, and tender satisfaction.
