Large Dog Doors for Your Furry Friend's Comfort and Convenience

Laura: I hade two builders install it, they were rushed & forgot to put the white lining inside, but however. Im delighted with it, my old (15 years) dog has gotten the hang of it after just a day or two. The puppy (4months old) figured it out after the second day. No draft at all. I have ordered a wood colour silicon that I will tidy the edges with & repost a picture later

Wayne: Wir hatten die Katzenklappe vor Jahren schon einmal, diese ist allerdings in der alten Wohnung geblieben, daher wurde eine neue benötigt. Da wir hier gute Erfahrungen gemacht haben, wurde es wieder die selbe wie damals. Die alte funktionierte über Jahre für Hund und Katze bestens, daher kam nur diese nochmals in Frage.

Meinerseits eine klare Kaufempfehlung 👍🏽

Neville MerrittNeville Merritt: Excellent door for a large dog, we have had a labrador and a pointer using it. If the door is thicker than 40mm you may need to make up your own, wider, lining strips but that's easy. It's a simple DIY job to fix, but if you have to adapt the door panels to take the dog door (as I have done), that may be more of a challenge! If the door is a standard 40mm thickness the supplied liners fit perfectly bt you will have to cut 1cm off each of the four bolts. We had to replace our human door but rather than re-use the first dog door we bought 10+ years ago we treated ourselves to a new one.

Mr. A. D. Steele-leith: Funnily, i did not buy this for its intended purpose, i bought it as a ready made window for my shed!

While the installation did not go quite according to plan (not so much the fault of the product, but what did concern me was how i sensed the bolts were being pulled through the holes as tightened.

One tip i would offer people before installing is to consider using the box to cut a template, you can then use that to mark where the holes are to go and where the opening is. I found this helpful for both drilling holes and cuting the entrance. While the latter did not go exactly to plan. (not fault of product.

Since i am not using this for its intended purpose, i cannot say much more, but it is a welcome addition to my project

Angel Menna: The media could not be loaded.  The door itself is great for interior installation. It's one of two styles purchased, and it opens from the kitchen to the garage. The directions were vague, and the round bottom made it a bit more difficult to cut out, if you're not an experienced handy person. The piece that goes inside the door to protect your pet from touching the exposed foam and metal is incredibly difficult to install while sandwiching the panels together. The interior locking panel to secure the door is a nice feature. The clear view spot on the plastic door flap is nice, you can see if the dog is by the door when opening it, and the cats enjoy looking in the garage. Overall for interior door use it's good, and it took about two hours to install it with a trip to Lowe's for a metal file. I would not recommend this for exterior use, it isn't water or air tight. It did however do exactly what we hoped for in this door, and the dog is loving it.

Dede V.: I'm pretty much stuck with this doggie door until I buy a new back door, because of the hole that I cut in my door when I purchased the first one of these. Yeah, I've purchased 3 in the last 7 years! They're nearly impossible to install too! Who ever thought putting a nut on to bolt into a tiny hole 2 inches deep should have their danged head examined! Also, whomever said they bought the door because it has a hard plastic flap, that's why I've had to purchase 3! This flap swings on 2 tiny piece of plastic tabs. If one of those breaks it falls out. Then you've got a giant hole in your door. This happened to me on an evening when it was 3 below zero on a Friday night at 11 p.m. . No place in my region carry this doggie door. I thought bubble wrap and typed it over the hole where it was open in the middle but overlapped. It works great until I can get a new door ordered from Amazon and it came in on a Wednesday. I tried for three days to put that door in by myself with no luck at all. All the pieces that you have to put in between the two where a booger. I finally decided I was going to use the ones that I already had that were already molded and bent, but then came the bolts with...

Linda ScottLinda Scott: NOT that easy to install, AND you need a jig saw AND a hack saw (or be prepared to buy screws that are the right size for your door).

It took my brother 2-1/2 hours to install this for me (with a little help from me), and he's no hack at projects. Issues: 1) the screws come way too long just in case you have a very fat door. I don't have a hack saw, so that was a big time drain. 2) There are 4 plastic inserts that fit into the sides of the inside perimeter, and these also have to be cut to the right size (you will have to do a little math here). They are of plastic and not that easy to cut. 3) While we were struggling with getting the two sides installed on the door and the screws into the holes and through to the other side and into a nut that you can't hold, we forgot to watch that these interior plastic pieces were also aligned properly. They weren't, so we had to loosen everything and get them tucked back in. You can see in the pics that these side pieces aren't a perfect fit, even if they were "tucked in" better. I don't think that's a big problem, mostly cosmetic, but an added hassle. 4) No spare parts! We dropped a tiny little nut and had difficulty finding it! 5) As...
