Christina: Interesting take on different figures from the past. It was definitely a very short read with few surprises, but it did make me chuckle a few times. Not my favorite Vonnegut, but definitely worth a read.

Michael Petsalis: The clear prose is there, as always, but the sharp wit and insight is not at the height this great author has us accustomed.

A 1-hr read, you won't be disappointed, but you won't be thrilled either.

mrnk: then you won't be disappointed!

A light hearted series of "letters" from the after life. Great reading for a lazy sunday afternoon.

This Old Dog: The Doctor outlived his biographer and supporter by several years. Whether one loves or hates Kurt Vonnegut, jr. his published works are, and will continue to be, examples of looking at the world through clean lenses. Vonnegut spent the better part of 60 years dismembering the status quo and shredding the hypocrisy therein.

I would like to have spent some weekends in a small boat - on a quiet lake - with Mr. Vonnegut, jr. He would, I'm sure, have shown me the futility of drowning worms in order to catch small fish that the consumption of would not materially change the world that we live in.

The book will not likely survive the passage of time that his Slaughter House Five did, but some of us will re-read it when we come to our senses.
