Rich Wall: I like this product very much but has only couple problem. It's great to use on new wire, but when used on old wire it does not hold without some prep on wire. You will have to do some sanding or soldering flux. The other problem is if trying to do three wires. You cannot get two wires into one end without going to next size connection then cannot hold and melt solder because connection too big to hold wire tight to solder.

Re Vue: Although the instructions recommend using a hot air blower with a curved deflector on the end to concentrate heat on these spices, I use a tiny butane torch. It's fast, but it's also easy to quickly overheat the plastic and burn it. Learning how far to keep the butane heat away from the splice is simply a matter of practice. I like the spices this makes, and I like the fact that it has built in shrink wrapping on both sides to keep water out. I've used this for making Fast electrical spices in my boat when adding or replacing accessories. By itself it's nothing, but once you add an appropriate hot air heating source to focus on the spices and melt the solder and cause the heat shrink to retract, you've got a great product.

jay bee: Best and easiest way to joint two wires together, just don't over heat with a lighter! A hot air gun works perfectly, but not in tight places unless you put a heat barrier behind to shield other things.

scott snyder: I had a live scope cable get cut on my bass boat with very small delicate wires that could not be soldered because they're stainless but I was able to use these connectors and get a great connection a good seal the thing sends out a good signal so I would highly recommend this and makes it much easier to join wires together.

pjcace: This made making connections very easy. I used my Ryobi heat gun with the deflector shield and I did not scorch a single one and all had the solder melted. I kept moving the heat back and forth and about about 45-55 seconds, boom, all done. Great product for someone that can't solder, like me.

Scottjl32: I bought these after trying to rewire a trailer- replacing all of the lights. I started and got about halfway through and got sick of soldering and then using heat shrink tubes etc to join wires. I saw this product as my brother had a kit of these and it literally takes 20 seconds to not only connect wires but also watertight seal them. So far so good and my trailer is working like a charm. The first half of the trailer took me 1.5 hours, and then second half took around 15 minutes- it makes it so simple. I also installed a new car stereo in my daughter's vehicle and these were versatile enough that I could find connectors that were much smaller than what I used on the trailer wiring. I was able to join many different wires in minutes, and I am confident that it will stay joined better than the twist connectors I always used previously. You can either use these with a heatgun or a targeted lighted- but basically you have to get it hot enough to melt the solder in the middle of the connector- when that melts it creates a seal, and then the outer plastic tub shrinks to create a nice seal (also cosmetically pleasing- much more than the twist connectors.) Martin Wagner: Ich war am Anfang etwas skeptisch was dieses Produkt betraf, denn die Meinungen der anderen Käufer drifteten doch etwas auseinander. Nachdem ich nun selbst dieses Produkt verarbeitet habe, komme ich zu folgendem Schluss. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist angemessen. Es lässt sich gut verarbeiten wenn man die richtigen Mittel einsetzt. In meinem Fall nahm ich einen Gaslötkolben, um die Schrumpf Lötverbinder mit dem Kabel zu verheiraten. Es brannte weder etwas weg, noch ließ sich der Lotring nicht zum schmelzen bewegen (wurde ja von einigen bemängelt). Der Schrumpf Lötverbinder tat genau das was er tuen sollte. Er schrumpfte, er verklebte und verlötete die zu reparierende Kabelstelle. Also kein durchbrennen des Schrumpfschlauches, kein nicht verkleben des Kabels mittels des Kleberinges und auch kein nicht verlöten des Kabels weil der Lot Ring nicht schmelzen wollte. Das Produkt kann man gut und gerne für die Kabelreparatur einsetzten, wenn man das richtige Werkzeug zum erhitzen einsetzt und die ganze Sache mit Verstand angeht. Viel Hitze und draufhalten hilft in einem Reparatur Fall nicht viel, es bewirkt eher das Gegenteil.
