JasonS: Had to order another bit as the end of these drill bits are a little fragile. I accidentally dropped mine and the tip snapped off. Keep a spare Krefeld drill bit on hand so you will be able to continue on with your project.

les: If you look at my reviews you will see I slated another brand as the metal was to soft this has done 50 holes already with no problems except on softer woods wear you still get a little tear out but that is the wood more than the drill

JHaitch: The original Kreg bits had a round shaft that could spin if the drill chuck was not really tight. Under heavy use, this could be a problem. This new version has a hex shaft which won’t spin. The stop collar is stronger, with a larger hex screw, so it won’t slip during use.

groyrown: I first purchased an off brand for half the price. I was only able to drill 6 to 8 holes in hardwood before that bit was useless. I then purchased this bit and was able to drill about 60 holes in the same wood and the bit was still sharp. Sometimes the name brand is worth the additional money. Very happy with this bit.
