DCW: Selbstschneidendes Gewinde funktioniert gut, Holz Splittet nicht. Der breite Kopf ist perfekt für die Taschenlöcher geeignet.
Leider sorgt die blaue Lackierung dafür, dass sich im Vierkantloch manchmal Farbreste sammeln. Das erleichtert, dass das Bit aus dem Loch raus rutscht, beziehungsweise manche Schrauben konnte ich gar nicht benutzen, weil das Bit nicht mehr gepasst hat. Hier muss vom Hersteller auf jeden fall nachgebessert werden

yamichi: I bought my Kreg Jig about 6 years ago. Been using these bluekote screws for lots of projects over the years and have always been happy with them.

Built a garden bed two weeks ago with the latest box and the quality seems lower than in past batches. My impact driver snapped the heads off six screws in a single project (about 110 screws) There were also a couple where the coating seems to have "clogged" the head of the screw so the bit couldn't fit.

This is a small percentage of the screws I used but it's more than I've seen in past purchases. I'll still be buying these and you should also. But buy bulk.

Tim Z: Just finishing up a project where I had to drill the pocket into a 2x2, and attach it to the top of a 2x4.
The screws worked well, and I expect they will last a long time. We only snapped 2 of them off
during construction.

My review has to do with the head of the Blue-Kote 'washerhead' square-drive Kreg pocket screw.

Both myself (hobbyist mainly, who does about 20 hours of actual carpentry labor a year), and
my buddy who is a professional who does this stuff on average about 20 hours a week, had the
same issue with a brand new squarehead bit jumping out of the screwhead a LOT. In fact my
pro buddy had MORE trouble than I did. His experience worked against him since these did
NOT work the way he was used to squarehead drives working.

The Kreg washerhead screws do not 'hold' the square bit as well as 'normal' washerhead squarehead screws do.
The bit has a major tendency to jump out UNLESS you run the gun slow and steady and careful, in which case
the bit stays in MOSTLY. I think this might be due to the fact that the kreg screwhead has blue paint inside the
socket, not allowing the bit to 'seat' as well, and also the screwhead at least...

Will E.: Overall a good product. I purchased the box of 250 because I knew they would last me years and the larger quantity would be a more cost effective purchase. I have not had any problems with the heads shearing off as others have noted, and I am not using these as they are designed. I have used around 100 of these and probably only a dozen for actual pocket holes. The others have been used from everything to mounting shop cabinets to hanging an IKEA bracket for a floating 72" shelf. No issues whatsoever. I really like them for mounting because of the large flange designed for the pocket hole application. This larger surface area helps to alleviate pressure from mounting item to walls and takes away any chance of sinking the screw too deep into the material. I have made several tool holders for my welding shop using 1.5"x 3/16" flat bar. The flat bar has 5/16 solid rod welded to it in a way that allows me to hook my many hammers and clamps to it. I used these screws to screw the flat bar into 2x4s in order to mount the tool holders. I did this with my Milwaukee impact and had no issue with head shearing.
