KenCel: Bright enough to see music but not too bright to be noticed by audience. Very wide and illuminates full stand. Not just center. Cordless is a plus. Battery lasted longer than expected. 4 hours before recharge.

Kay Dunton: This light works wonderfully on my music stand. It lights up my music perfectly so that I can see it without straining my eyes. I especially like that the light is rechargeable. So far the battery life has been sufficient for my needs. I would definitely buy another if it becomes necessary for another reason.

plite: We use this to light the podium for our congregation.
It could be a little bit brighter but it does the job.
I wish it had a locking clamp instead of a spring.
(It swivels a bit on the plexiglass podium.)

Nalina Advani: Arrived sooner than expected. The product is good but heavy for what I intended to use it for. I like to sketch with my sketch book on my lap sometimes and thought this would have better coverage than the small book lights you get but was just too heavy. I even tried clipping it on a clip board but still heavy for lap work. Also if you have a large sketch book the light doesn't reach much to the bottom part of the book. The white light has 9 led lights so still not bright enough for me. So the idea just backfired.

fancypants: Did this light exist when I bought my first Kootek 2 years ago? That one is already fantastic - bright, long battery life, it just worked. But, I was never in love with the color temperature. In walks this model with the option for warmer LEDs and three different color options. I use it on half-power on the middle setting that combines the warm and cool LEDs and it is absolutely perfect. The charger is different on this new one, so now I have 2 music stand lights and 2 different chargers. I'm considering getting another one of these new lights and giving the old one away.

The South Floridian: This portable lamp is quite bright, has different color hues (incandescent and fluorescent) and can be dimmed easily with a very-accessible button. I use two at a time. They charge in a couple of hours. I have never checked for how long they work because I usually need them for less than five hours (shows, concerts). They always last that long. The clip needs sometimes feels a little bulky, but it's never been a hindrance. It even works on my portable Yamaha 660's plastic music stand. No problem on a grand, either.

The clips can also function as bases when not clipping onto anything. If you carry sheet music in a (deep-enough) case, the whole light can be flattened and be put in with the music, as well.

I HIGHLY recommend these lights. They are the best I have ever found - and, no, I don't know anyone in the company or have any other affiliation. It's just a brilliant product.
