D. Li: I had a HELL of a time trying to install some GP5000s on a set of new carbon rims. For someone with little experience, this tool was practically required.

Leslie: Some tire/rim combinations can be extremely tight and this tool will definitely save your thumbs in trying to push the last few inches of an extra tight clincher to seat on the wheel rim. It is also will prevent pinch flats or tube damage trying to use traditional tire levers to assist in mounting. Easy to use, but can take some effort and a few repeat pulls for the really tight tire/rim combinations that are almost impossible otherwise without this tool. If you have a really tight tire, I also recommend carrying this tool with you when riding, especially on cold days in case you flat and need to repair/replace a tube. Cold thumbs just can't manage on their own. Note, you still need to have a regular tire lever to unseat the tire this tool is only helpful (essential) to reseat the tire.

Christopher Morgan: I used this tool for the first time this morning. I have a really difficult wheel/tire setup with Hunt Carbon 50 Aero wheels and Schwalbe Pro One tires. It is impossible to get the tire mounted on to the wheel by hand, and I've only managed to get it on in the past with great difficulty and multiple tire levers and a ton of force. I used the bead jack this morning, and it took couple times to get it right but I was able to get the tire on without much difficulty and without creating a pinch flat (always a risk when using tire levers).

I highly recommend this tool for anyone who needs to be able to change difficult tires. I wish this tool had a way to fold the handle so that I could take it with me on the road. I'm pretty screwed if I get a flat out on the road with my tire/wheel combo.

Tom N.: Once I figured out how to use it, it works very well. I have mounted 700X25 Conti's on Roval CLX II wheels, as well as 26X2.3 Conti's on MB wheels, both of which were very tight fits. It worked fine for both.
I found that holding the bottom of the tool that fits over the rim and under the tire lip gives much better leverage than using the top arm. I wrap my hand around both sides and force the tool to grip and hold the rim and tire while pulling the tire up and over the rim a couple of inches at a time. Also, hold the side of the tire to keep it from unmounting as you move the tool towards it the last few inches. That last few inches is usually 4-5 inches which then pops on the wheel.
I can see where folks would have trouble if they simply tried to lever a tire. It would just unmount the far edge as you worked down the tire. Slow and easy gets it done.
Nice tool.

keith timmel: Paying for the idea not the materials its made of. Heavy duty mylar type plastic which seems to be long lasting. . Got tires on that I struggled with levers for way too much time. Googled how to get tight tires on a road bike. Tried all the tricks to no avail. An add for this popped up. I ordered and with some struggle got the tires on. Note without this tool I was heading to a bike shop to pay someone. The front hook that grabs the tire and multiple times can pop over tire while levering. I feel this shape could have a little more of a hook shape to prevent this. Recommend.

Kanji: Certainly worth taking on a ride. I have used it so many times to help others and few times for my own tires. Why not use this instead of struggling with getting the tire back on the rim? Easy as.

Venuko: After 30 minutes of fruitless attempts to mount the toughest Shawalbe Marathon tire on a 20" rim, I finally went on YouTube to see how people do it. That's where I learned about this tool. It took me less than 5 seconds to mount the same tire with it :)
