M FRANKISH: I reserve the right to edit this review when I have owned the Ukulele for a while. I have a 5 string Kmise Tenor, it is excellent in every way, and I bought the 8 string based on that experience. Build quality is up to the manufacturer's usual high standard, very good for what is a very reasonably priced instrument. It comes with a strap, picks, a spare set of strings, and a nice soft case.

I have only had it three days, so it is still settling in, needing a retune every time I pick it up, but, at the moment, that is to be expected. I am a little disappointed in how it plays and sounds, but I noticed the action is quite high, so I will attend to that when I have time. These are just first impressions, and I will comment further in due course.

tony mitchell: As usual with new strings they need stretching in so don’t expect perfect pitch till they are. I have played guitar 6&12 strings banjo for many years and arthritis has forced me away from them to the shorter neck and although this is a budget instrument the action and intonation is good and too be honest I can’t fault it. Goes well with my 4 string tenor. Love it

Scott T: Bought one of these and was really impressed with the build quality for this price.
Liked it so much I bought a second just so I could string and tune it to an alternate tuning.
Have one tuned in fifths standard tenor guitar CGDA .
The second tuned Chicago tuning DGBE.
You need to change the string gauges if you want to experiment with different tunings but that is simple enough. Lots of resources online to tell you which gauge for which notes.
One of them needed a little filing done to a few fret ends but an easy fix, maybe 5 minutes with a fine file. I have dealt with fret ends needing work on instuments costing 5 times this one, quite a common and easy remedy.
The included bag is also very well made.
Could see the bag alone selling for around $30 so the value of this little Tenor guitar with bag included is amazing.

Hipolito E. Flores: I needed a small guitar to use in some music workshops I do with young kids. I tried a ukelele but wasn't satisfied. So I decided to give this a try after reading some positive reviews. Overall I am happy. Here are the highlights.

1. It really does feel like it is well-made. It looks very nice, and the little case is cool.
2. It plays in tune from the first fret on up. That's extremely important to me, and I've found that even on some much more expensive guitars the tuning is not "true" up the neck. This guitalele plays in tune.
3. The size is perfect for what I need. Even the strap (designed more for kids, I think) works OK.
4. The tuner is very basic, but works well. And you'll need it! Which leads me to the concerns...
5. While the instrument stays in tune (one string relative to the others) while you are playing, it does lose about a quarter-tone in pitch after a couple of days. So it doesn't stay at pitch, although it still sounds like it is in tune when you play it. It's just that the pitch will go down from where you had it. I was hoping that issue would clear up as the strings stretched, but after about three weeks it is still happening.
6. There are...

Mike & Chrys: I previously recieved a Kmise tenor guitar, and gave it a pretty bad review. The intonation was seriously off, making it unusable as a musical instrument. It seemed to have potential, and I was anxious to own a tenor guitar, so I took a chance and exchanged it for another rather than a refund. I'm very glad I did, as I now have a decent tenor guitar at a very reasonable price.

What you get is a no-frills plywood guitar with a really nice gig bag (I've paid half the price of this guitar for a inferior guitar gig bag before.) The tone is surprisingly nice, very decent sustain, and pretty good intonation. The tuners are okay, but the adjustable truss is really cool, and you can dial in the action you're comfortable with very easily. The short scale is very nice for those of us with beat-up, arthritic or damaged hands. Some of the frets will need a little attention, as they're slightly rough on certain edges. But to be honest, I've found that on instruments costing three times as much. As far as bang-for-buck goes, this gets five stars. What you're getting is a decent tenor guitar at a fraction of the price of the next available model. If you're unsure of whether you'll like...

tcman: I was initially very skeptical about this guitarlele, but after reading countless positive reviews, videos and pictures, I was convinced to give this product a try. It arrived yesterday and I am very happy and satisfied with this guitarlele. It arrived in an oversized box filled with lots of stuffing paper for padding so very well packaged to prevent damage. The gig bag it came with is great! Well padded good material, nice grey color with lots of pockets. It came with all the promised products of clip on tuner, picks, strap, and hex key. The tuner is a really good tuner, actually better than the one I currently have. The Kmise guitarlele is very well built. There are no obvious flaws on the outside and even the insides looks like a professional luthier crafted it. I have an Ohana ukulele that is more than twice the price and although the outside is good, the inside looks like an amateur built it with stray glue and mis-cut pieces all over the place. Luckily the poor internal craftsmanship doesn't seem to affect the sound. And speaking of sound, this guitarlele sounds great. It is loud and has a good balance of resonance and sustain to carry the sound of all 6 strings. My other...
