この価格なのでトップサイドバック板はラミネートであるが、十分に鳴ってくれる。
トップの木目も綺麗で高級感もある。
問題は多少高いフレットでの音のズレであるが、元々ウクレレはそんなに正確な楽器でもないと思う。
作りに関しては、安くても問題となる箇所はなかった。
総合的に見てコスパ抜群、というより、どうやったらこの価格で作ることができるのか？と思えるウクレレであるので、同メーカーの別のウクレレも買い、ローＧ仕様にした。

zooma: As a retired person I need to consider carefully before spending a chunk of my pension on any new interest or hobby but I have a few friends that enjoy playing the ukulele and i fancied having a go myself, so I started looking to find one that would be good enough to learn with, and still be good enough to be able to enjoy playing - hopefully for several years to come !

There are plenty of cheap ukuleles available, and advice from several sources was that there was no need to spend too much on one to get started, so with that in mind I started my search with Amazon and liked the look of the Kmise Soprano outfit that came with a soft case, and a spare set of strings with a neck strap and basic handbook.

From what I could see online, the ukulele looked to be nicely finished and had some good reviews, so I decided to part with £49.99 and make this my first ukulele purchase, even though I know of nobody else that had bought one of this make.

On delivery I couldn't have been more pleased. The finish of this ukulele was first class and it looked and sounded like a much more expensive instrument.

Mr S.: The media could not be loaded.  This is a review of the Kmise mahogany beginner ukulele set. I purchased this as my only other soprano is a much lower quality laminate from another manufacturer which i bought on Amazon (and did not get favourable review) and performs poorly so I wanted something to take out and about and enjoy. This is more than a welcome replacement, this has actually got me loving the soprano body again from many months away playing on concert/tenors.

In the kit -
I got a generic branded tuner, spare strings (unlabelled manufacturer but Aquila style nylons), padded gig bag and gig strap, fret sandpaper, chord diagram and starter guide. None of those bits are standouts or amazing, but I love how this is set up for a beginner - it is everything you need, even if you don't think you need it. Considering most other manufacturers barely supply a gig bag for Ukulele's that are £100-£300, and this is very much welcome.

KimbaKimba: The media could not be loaded.  This is a fantastic little ukulele! It is my fourth ukulele, so I have something to compare it to, and I can say that this is the best sounding one I have. Let's go over it:

Pros:
1. Beautiful wood grain on the stained mahogany. Just gorgeous.
2. Inlaid Kmise log in headstock looks expensive and attractive; nice accent that doesn't overwhelm the instrument.
3. Awesome tuning pegs! These are so unique! They are silver, and at a glance look open, but actually have a clear plastic cover, really cool. And, the knobs have a plastic that looks like tigers eye crystal. Super cool.
4. Nice carved shape on the saddle that is subtle but pretty.
5. Two silver toned strap buttons.
6. A rope rosette hole decal that gives it a nautical or country look. Note it is a decal, not inlay.
7. MOST IMPORTANT: it sounds fantastic!
8. Comes with a really nice, small, easy to use tuner with battery. Simple but nice case. Cute checkerboard strap that is thin and comfortable, a chord chart, and a basic ukulele booklet, as well as extra strings.

J. Williams: I was about ready to order an Alvarez Ukulele, when I stumbled across this K-Mise on Amazon. After watching several favorable reviews on Youtube, I decided to take a chance on it. After using a discount coupon and a few bucks of credit I had at Amazon, I got it for $68.00 for the kit that includes gig bag, picks, and a truss rod wrench.

First things first, I have a big problem with the way it was packaged at Amazon. The packaging from the manufacturer, thankfully, was very good. Nice thick box, foam wrap around the Uke, and snug inside it's padded gig bag. Amazon then chose to put that in a HUGE box, with only one piece of packing paper which did absolutely no good whatsoever. The box was badly damaged on the outside, and the inner box with the Ukulele was bouncing around all over the place. Luckily, thanks to the manufacturer packaging, it was undamaged.

The instrument looks and sounds great. A couple of minor points...the two wound copper coated bass strings were showing signs of corroding and will need to be replaced very soon. This is pretty common for instruments from China though, and isn't a big concern. The second minor thing was that there were a few frets...

SarahSarah: The media could not be loaded.  This little ukulele and starter kit are a fantastic value for the price! The instrument itself is good quality, and produces a nice bright sound. I was very happy to just give it a quick tune and start playing right out of the box. Strings are nicely placed with low action, so it was easy to get a great sound on day one. After about 3 days the instrument is holding its tune nicely, and I'm having a lot of fun playing it!

The starter kit that comes along with it includes a nice soft-sided gig back with an accessory pocket and backpack-style straps. The uke also has strap buttons, and the strap that comes with it can be used with the buttons or with the included string if you want to tie it on the headstock. The clip-on tuner that comes with the kit is easy to use, and a must when breaking in a new uke. Additionally the kit comes with a spare set of nylon strings, and a "get started" book with a lot of basics about playing the ukulele.

This would be a great first-time instrument, as it comes with everything you need to start playing. It is also a good addition for anyone who is looking for a nice soprano ukulele, as it both sounds...
