KitchenAid KHBBV53DG 8-inch Cordless Hand Blender: Enjoy Effortless Blending at Home

Phlox: After years of transferring my soup to a Kitchen Aid food processor to blend it, I was delighted with the simplicity and speed of the immersion blender. So far I have only used it once - to make 2.5 litres of fennel and carrot soup - but the results were excellent. There was no splashing and only the wand to wash up, instead of all the parts to the food processor. I shall be making far more puree soups now I have the blender.
N.B. I used a metal pan so didn't need to use the pan protector, which seemed a bit fiddly to put on.

Cheryl L Burdan: Love it! I have making alot of homemade soups and it is so quick and easy compared to using the blender to puree. Ex- Cream of Cauliflower Soup. Also love that it's cordless. I also have the cordless mixer for small things instead of getting out my big Kitchinaid mixer.

2cat mom: This is what I expected from a brand like Kitchen-aid. Its easy to use and to hold, has enough power to do what you need in blending small amounts. The battery life seems good but its still early in its life.

AREADERAREADER: Blender works fine as expected. However it is missing the Protective Pan Protector as shown in photo. Cannot use in my non-stick pans as it will scratch them without this protector. For the price I paid for this with 'all' of the accessories advertised in the description, I expect to receive 'all' of the accesories. Contacted manufacturer for them to send the Pan Protector. Will update the star rating if they send the missing part.

Update: Upgraded the rating to 5 stars. I contacted Kitchenaid and they promptly sent out the missing Protective Pan Protector. Good to go.

J. Kent Barnhart: No more transferring some of your soup to a stand blender or food processor - this is the must-have immersion blender. First, it actually works - without sloshing your soup everywhere! Second, the charging cord is detachable, so no worries about the cord being in the way, and it holds a charge for much longer than you'll need. Third, the plastic guard on the blade piece keeps you from scratching your non-stick pans. Fourth, the blender comes apart into two sections with just a twist. This makes it easy to store, but, more importantly, you can put the bottom half and the plastic guard in the dishwasher, so no more worries about cleaning around the dangerously sharp blades. Last, it just WORKS REALLY WELL! Great product from a great company at a great price!

Glaab Family: I have used this for smoothies on 4-5 occasions and a large batch of broccoli soup - all on one charge and several weeks apart. Very happy with this. My only complaint would be that it comes with a small attachment for non-stick pans and there is no way to attach it when you're not using it (like maybe on top?) so I'm sure it will get lost.

AmazonUser: I already had an old corded kitchenaid immersion blender but wanted a cordless one. It's very convenient and works great, however, the battery life isn't great. I was in the middle of making butternut squash soup and the battery started running out. This was after I fully charged it first. Managed to finish the soup but couldn't clean it running. It's great for short jobs.
