Tyler: I was forced into religion when I was younger so I grew to resent it. As I've gotten older I've been curious again, so I bought this bible to read. It's very high quality with minimal show-through of letters on other pages. Pages are too thin to write on with anything other than pencil, a fountain pen would bleed through at least 30 pages.

Toria94Toria94: I purchased this Thomas Nelson Thinline Bible a few weeks ago and from the moment I opened it, I instantly fell in love with it. The paper quality and and font is so good that the words jump out of the page as soon as you open it. I own several Bibles, but none of them have the feel of this one. Here are some things that have stood out to me with this Bible:
•It opens up so nice and it feels so good holding it open to read it.
•When I lay it down on a desk or on the pulpit, it lays perfectly flat.
•The thumb indexes are a must for me and I really like the ones on this Bible.
•The chapter breakdowns make it easier to look for certain topics/stories.
•Last but not least, I love that it has three ribbons.
I highly suggest and recommend this Bible.

Jon EllemanJon Elleman: This Bible for $20 is simply crazy. I paid so much more for my other Bible and this one has about the same quality. The leather is super soft and the pages are nice and crisp. If you’re looking for a really nice Bible I would recommend this one all day long. I’m simply blown away at the quality for the money.

Alle die sich mit Bibeln beschäftigt haben wissen ja, dass man auf deutsch die Schlachter 2000 und auf englisch die King James lesen sollte.
Das mal vorweg.

Diese Bibel ist für den Preis absolut genial. Liegt super in der Hand, schön flexibel, große Schrift, gut lesbare Schrift, Goldschnitt, Ledereinband,… es macht die Bibel so viel mehr zugänglich als dieses kleine gefrickel,…

Ohne Register, was ich toll finde. Wir sollten uns in unserer Bibel ja auskennen.

Zu den etwas negativen Dingen:
Die Seiten „klebten“ am Anfang etwas zusammen. Musste viele etwas „trennen“. Einmalige Sache. Kein Problem.

Zum Englisch: in den Weisheitsbüchern wirds vom Englisch echt anspruchsvoll. Überall sonst (selbst bei Paulus) ist es gut verständlich.

Wer das Wort Gottes in seiner reinsten Form will (genauer noch als Schlachter in vielen Fällen), der ist hier richtig und wird es nicht bereuen.

Erweitert:
Das alt-englisch mag erstmal abschrecken. Bei vielen Wörtern ist es jedoch so, dass es dem deutschen viel näher ist als die entsprechenden modernen Wörter. Manchmal muss man das Wort nur...

I would have rated it 5, had it not been for the calloused attitude of the seller, Atlantic. I had requested the seller to send me a replacement as the first Bible came with prominent crease marks on multiple pages; however, the seller sent the same Bible back making it look like they have made a replacement.

Beautiful Bible, extremely readable font, Smith Sewn, Smyth sewing is a method of book binding where groups of folded pages (referred to as signatures) are stitched together using binder thread. Each folded signature is sewn together individually.
