With the KIMAFUN Wireless Microphone System, you'll be able to enjoy crystal clear audio for all your events.Stephen Peterson: tested the mic by plugging it into my laptop and recording myself reciting a lengthy Shakespearian speech. Upon playback I noticed two things immediately: The mic is very sensitive to background hum (although it also got a good, clear level on my voice), and it seems to favour the bass frequencies, making my recording sound a little boomy. Upon processing, my recording software was able to filter-out the background hum almost completely, but I struggled with the equaliser to get the boom to balance with more mid-range frequencies. It is hard to boost frequencies that are lacking in the original recording, and I think the mic missed a lot. However, I am a perfectionist, and I am also new to my current recording software, so I have no doubt that with time and a little trial and error I could get it to sound more acceptable.

Beatrix Comet: I am a college professor and I was worried about students being able to understand me with a mask on. I am able to use this set with Power Point so that live captions come on the screen while I speak (the captions are not perfect, but they are okay). I also record my lecture while giving it in the classroom in the event students are unable to attend class in person. The microphone set also gets the audio for the recording.
Making sure it is all hooked up is not easy, but I think it is worth it in these times. The microphone is somewhat temperamental, but it’s often because I haven’t adequately plugged everything in.

YOGAthletica: If you are looking for a mic for sitting and talking, you can't beat this one. Good sound, cuts out background noise. Has a pretty good battery life.
However, I bought it for making yoga videos. Do not make that mistake!
First of all, the headband (I guess you would call it) is not adjustable...so, unless you have the same size head as their ideal, it doesn't fit well.
I used to use the lavalier, but it makes terrible sounds when it rubs against anything (such as an arm or leg, your hair or shirt)...which it will if you are exercising. So, that is why I switched to headset. It is a bit more consistent in mic positioning.
Every time I move--especially if I go upside down (even if it's only bending over to touch the floor)--I have to readjust the headset because it basically starts hanging off my head. I know it sounds like I must have some tiny pea head, but it's actually quite a normal size.
And, I cannot figure out any way to make the headset the least bit comfortable. There is this weird flat plastic part on one end of the band that digs into my head or the back of my ear.
Sometimes, my arm or something might hit the on/off switch on the device and turn it off...

Dixon: If using apps like Zoom on Iphone, need a long wired headphone to hear the voice of the other party.

Jessica: I bought this mic setup to use for teaching movement classes via Zoom. Unfortunately, the Y splitter cable that you use to plug the bluetooth receiver into the device you're using was not recognized by my Macbook Air. Every other device (Canon DSLR, Macbook Pro, iPhone 6S) recognized the mic, although sometimes it took a few tries. Sound quality is pretty good, especially for the price. My Macbook Air runs on Catalina - did a system update earlier this week, and now the mic was being recognized, but not consistently. When taking the Y splitter cable out of my Mac, the 3.5mm jack broke in half, leaving part of the jack in my headphone port. I was able to get it out, but I'm thinking the Y splitter cable I received may have been defective. I reached out to the seller through Amazon on 6/5/20 when the cable broke, and have not yet heard back. If they don't respond with sending a new Y splitter cable or offering a full refund, I will be deeply disappointed and not be able to recommend this product. If they resolve the issue, I will update this review and would recommend this budget mic.

D. FichtnerD. Fichtner: The media could not be loaded. Long-term Update: At first I felt this was really a great quality unit for the price. After about 6 months, the wire which connects the mic to the transmitter clipped to my belt cracked. The PVC (plastic) covering over the wire cracked at the connection point to the unit, leaving the thin/weak wires exposed and nearly broken entirely. This is a stress point which wears on the wire and will happen to any/all purchasers, in time. To fix it, I used a glue gun and glued this connection point so that it made a strong bond to protect the wires. If you can fix this the same way, you should be OK for some unspecified time longer. Also, I find the battery lasts me less time. Maybe I get 4 hours out of it before the mic transmitter needs recharging.
Previous review:
I included a video which compares both Kimafun microphones to the overhead microphone which my school has. The school’s omnidirectional overhead mic is quite poor (shown first in video), but it really improves the sound of my classes to have the Kimafun system. I was surprised to see the USB sound card, and additional attachments included. I didn’t read close enough to see...
