Greg: The KeylessOption Keyless Entry Remote Control Car Key Fob Replacement for HYQ12BAN DOES NOT WORK! The fob apparently programmed okay, as all the door lock beeps indicated so, but after programming the lock button did nothing and the unlock button worked 3 times and then, to quote the black bird, nevermore. The window roll down button also did nothing, and by then I didn't dare try the Panic button. As to customer service, cannot find anyway to reach anyone.On top of all that, they charge $5.75 to ship the item back. No more KeylessOption Keyless Options for me.

MK2007: It's the worst product I ever bought on Amazon. This product does not work with my Toyota 4Runner even though it was stated that it does.

Don't buy it if you owe a Toyota vehicle!

Andrea Mason: Worked great. Lost my key fob and needed a replacement. I had purchased a different brand and I couldn't get it programed no matter how many times I tried, but this brand worked. If you are having a problem programing, here are some suggestions: the first time we tried, it wouldn't work. We took the guts out of the case and it programed no problem. Put it back in the case and it works fine. No idea why that mattered. Also, as you are trying to do the pokey dance (all the steps you need to do to program) if your auto lock actuator on your car is worn out, it might not work (you can tell because you will hear a click but the locks don't go up and down). What we did is instead of clicking the button on the door itself (lock unlock lock etc), we got out of the car and used the actual key in the door (lock unlock lock). That did the trick.

John Kadota: Works well, just follow the programming instructions carefully. I had a small issue during delivery with a chipped case, and they promptly sent a replacement case.

Programming for a 2003 to 2005 Toyota 4 Runner

When

Remote transmitter added or replaced.
System malfunction.

How

Driver's door open, key removed from ignition switch.
Within 5 seconds:
Insert and remove the key from the ignition switch twice.
Within 40 seconds:
Close and open driver's door twice.
Insert and remove the key from the ignition switch.
Within 40 seconds:
Close and open driver's door twice.
Insert the key into the ignition switch and close the driver's door.

Switch ignition ON and OFF once to program a remote transmitter code whilst
retaining the original codes or twice to program a remote transmitter code
whilst erasing the original codes. Three times to check how many remote
transmitters are currently registered or five times to erase all registered codes.

Remove key from ignition switch:
System should now lock and unlock vehicle once, twice or five times
depending which mode has been selected. One to four times,...

Michael M: Have a 2008 Toyota 4 Runner. When I bought to car it only came with one remote. I decided to purchase this product so that I could have two remotes. This remote worked great! The programming instructions found online from the supplier were easy to follow.

Jami: Works great! I got this for a spare fob to my 2006 4Runner. I followed the programming instructions below and it worked like a champ! I had to retry step 6 a few times, but I got it all programmed just fine. Even the rear window button works.

Instructions are available on the seller's website, but I'll put them here as well. It took me a few times on the last step, but I was able to get it programmed on about the 3rd try.

Programming a new security fob:
1. Start with the key out of the ignition, drivers door is open all others closed and drivers door is unlocked.

2. Perform these steps within 5 seconds.
A. Insert the key into the ignition(Do NOT Turn) Pull key out.
B. Insert the key into the ignition(Do NOT Turn) Pull key out.

3. Perform these steps within 40 seconds.
A. Close then open the drivers door.
B. Close then open the drivers door.
C. Insert the key into the ignition(Do NOT Turn) Pull key out.

4. Perform these steps within 40 seconds.
A. Close then open the drivers door.
B. Close then open the drivers door.
C. Insert the key into ignition and leave it in ignition.
