Sam Leyva: The instructions for programming the remote for my 2003 Chevrolet Impala were ready enough, however, no matter how many times I tried to program this fob it just didn't take. The manufacturer's website indicates that it may take up to 20 seconds. I pushed both the lock and unlock keys (close to a minute) until the display indicated that it was no longer in programming mode there was no chirps and the fob never worked to unlock or lock the door. I opened up the fob to replace the battery and it still didn't work. Some indicate here on the manufacturer's website that there are helpful hints on what to do in case it doesn't work there were none for my particular vehicle.

It's easy enough to return so this is where this fob is going back to Amazon's Warehouse.

Amazon Customer: The dealership was going to charge me a fortune to replace my fob. I ordered this one and it worked awesome, and was easy to program!

Gilpinator: Works well, Price reasonable, but I had to take it to a locksmith to have programmed. While some cars you can program yourself my model (2003 Cadillac Deville) requires special equipment. Check around for pricing, my charge was $25 for the programming so my fob turned into a $40 investment, still a lot better than a dealer or buying from locksmith.

Amazon Customer: Bought for an 05 Impala. Programmed it myself without issue (some vehicles you can on your own, some require a dealer to do it). Has good range. Very very sensitive buttons though. I kept opening my trunk without realizing it (trunk doesn't have a switch to disable it) so I put a piece of tape underneath the button to disable the button.

jv: I needed a second key FOB for the car I recently purchased which only had one (1) key and one (1) FOB. I ordered this product when came via Prime very quickly with instructions to go to the company's website to obtain specific instructions for my automobile. It was simple and straightforward and off I go to my vehicle. I followed the instructions in detail, the new FOB worked perfectly and I got out of my automobile, leaving the new and new FOB in the ignition. I tried the door handle and ooops I had locked the door with the new remote and could not gain entry. But that was not going to be a problem ---- I had the old FOB. I retrieved the old FOB and to my total dismay it no longer worked properly.

What was not included in the instructions was the fact that adding a new FOB requires all existing FOBs to be reset at the same time while the radio is operating in the FOB reset mode. I learned this fact after I called the company and asked them how to get all the FOBs operating on the same code. They told me that all FOBs had to reset at the same time. Without a second key I was stuck and had to call AAA to gain access to the vehicle. I really like the product, it works great...

Adam: Either there instructions are wrong or its the wrong remote or it just doesnt work because i have tried programming multiple times to no avail.

Thiago: It works as described. The quality of the plastic casing and buttons is a little lower than the original remote from GM. The programming instructions were easy to follow for my 2004 Chevy Impala.

Larissa Bartos: Thank you! Came on time, programmed easily. If anything, the buttons may be "too" sensitive (or I just waited too long to replace the old one, which was not sensitive.)
