Host92: I love the artwork in this book. So beautiful. However, while the paper has good weight to it, it’s pretty much marker paper and too smooth for colored pencils (won’t hold very many layers of pigment). And since it’s double sided, marker bleeds through.

I got decent results with wax based Caran D’Ache Luminance pencils, but I still had to work harder than usual to get them to layer enough for the richness and depth I wanted. My oil based Polychromos were even worse on this paper because, due to the nature of oil based pencils, even more layers of pigment are required. Would have been better if the author had used a vellum like paper or did the pages single sided.

TLDR: If you love the artwork and just want a book to mindlessly color in and have fun doing it, this book is perfect for you. If you’re a colored pencil artist or prefer to work with markers ,the paper in this book will leave you frustrated and wanting more.

Susan Lawson: Another of Kirbys gorgeous books, nice paper to colour in takes many different brands of art supplies, just dont overuse water or the paper will pill.

Nemo: Wer Kerbys Bücher mag, wird dieses Buch lieben - vorrausgestzt man malt gerne Tiere in der Natur aus.

Denn diese Buch ist ausschließlich mit wunderschönen Tiermotiven aus der Natur ausgestattet, welche zum großen Teil sehr realistisch wirken. Man kann sich beim Malen in den Details verlieren, wunderbar entspannen und abtauchen in eine Welt der Natur oder Tiere, fernab vom Menschen, der in den Motiven nicht zu finden ist.

Motive sind u.a. ein Schneeleopard, Berggorilla, Kattas/ Lemuren, weiße Haie im Fischschwarm, Pandas, Elefant, Tiger, Meeresschildkröte, Axalottl, Koalas, Blauwale, roter Panda, Bisons, Manatis/ Dugong, afrikanische Wildhunde, Feldhamster, Delfine, ... Auch an verschiedene Insekten und Vögel hat Kerby gedacht. Somit ist für jeden begeisterten Tier- und Naturliebhaber etwas dabei.

Das Papier hat, wie immer, eine sehr gute Qualität, ist recht dick, dass man sogar Aquarellfarben nehmen könnte. Gelstifte, Filzstifte und erst recht Bundtstifte, welche ich bevorzuge, sind gar kein Problem. Das Schichten mit Buntstiften von meheren Farben ist ohne Qualitätsverlust des Papieres möglich.

Edith C.Edith C.: Tengo varios libros de Kerby Rosanes, apenas llevo coloreando en dos de ellos: Animorphia y este llamado Fragile World. Esto es pues me gustan aquellos con ilustraciones de animales.
Rosanes es un maestro en el manejo de la pluma de tinta y los detalles. En este libro todas las ilustraciones son impresionantes.
Hice un votación con amigos y seguidores para ver que pagina era la que empezaría a colorear, y este fue el resultado. Las actualizaciones las manejo en mis redes sociales como Chris Kiluë.
