I purchased these labels to use as mailing labels for shipping packages. Sharpies and permanent markers work perfectly well on these slick surfaces, but other ink smears easily. To get the roll undone, you have to tear apart at least 2 of the labels. But the price was right so I gave these a try and they work fine for most uses. The adhesive isn't particularly strong but is good enough.
