Kindle Customer: We needed two seat belt attachments for our dog and these were exactly what we expected. They do not provide protection against chewing by the dog. We added some flexible black plastic tubing over the non-metal part of the product stop the chewing problem. This setup is more than adequate for a 90 pound dog. Some of the other products on the market are stronger (have thicker metal and more robust strap) but this rig is sufficient.
We also needed to have a seat belt attachment that was thin on the end that connected to the car's seat.
Some of the other brands have a nasty lump that sticks up from the seat.

Bertie B: My Standard Poodle loves to take rides in the car. She is also my Service Dog so she goes everywhere with me. Before I bought these safety straps, she would get up to go from one side of the back seat to the other, as if she would miss something important along the drive, needless to say, this was a very big concern for me while driving and quite distracting. Once the straps arrived (a day earlier than expected) I set them up to have them ready to go when we took our next drive. At first, she didn't care much for them, but her anxiousness quickly subsided as she realized that she could still move around a little. Trips around town were easier with each drive. The true test was when we went on vacation to the US and total miles driven were 1580 miles one way. She thoroughly enjoyed the drive in between stops to stretch and let her do her business. She was able to lay down and nap comfortably as well as sit up to look out the windows.
I would highly recommend these straps for the safety of your Fur Baby. We bought these in conjunction with the Safety Travel Halter, which doubles as a "No Pull Harness" for walking.
Excellent purchase, excellent product, made sturdy and strong...

noodlestars: There's been so many stories about people getting into car accidents and their pets getting out of the car and getting hit. I mean, its bad enough that you got in an accident, but to also lose a pet (family member) too! We live near a freeway and we've rescued a few dogs whose owners turned out to have been involved in a crash.

I ordered these for our little fur-kids. We have 3 weiner dogs (miniature dachshunds) and we love them to death! But they are small and they can easily get between the seats and they always want to sit on our laps while we drive... And sometimes, they wanna drive the car... As cute as all that sounds, sometimes you just don't need a warm, little hairy dog sitting on your lap, breathing in your face while you drive. They're especially annoying when they wanna know what's going on in that bag that you guys got from the drive-thru. And I swear our dogs have ADD so they are constantly roaming around in the car, getting into who knows what kind of trouble. Just stay in the back seat and sit down!!!
