vandenhamvandenham: The media could not be loaded.  So we got this for our Husky puppy. We have had multiple dogs in the past and I was never concerned with them trying to get out through the window for our car.

We did a bit of research on different ways to keep our new puppy safe.

This was the first option we found that we liked and tested it out. We have used this every week since we've gotten it. I like that it comes in two, because we measured one for the backseat buckle and keep that one buckled in the back. And the 2nd one I tightened up for the front seat and it stays in my center console unless she rides with me alone.

She's a puller and has gone back and forth the backseat trying to get her head out the window as much as possible. The couple of months we have had these, and it's never popped loose on us.

Amazon Customer: This product is very easy to use. I clip it into the seatbelt buckle and the other end to a harness. My dog is younger, and I want to keep him still and keep him from falling forward if I have to hit the breaks for some reason. The tether is very easy to adjust so he has enough length to sit comfortably but it keeps him from being able to jump on floor or come up front. I have a bench seat in the back. I will see how well it works with a bucket seat when my new car gets here.

April Battaglia: These are sturdy, easy to use and adjustable to the perfect length for any size dog and car. Not long ago, I watched a dog jump out of an SUV window and get dragged by his neck half a block before his humans noticed. It was horrible and I immediately went online to find a way to make sure this doesn't happen to my pup. These tethers clip perfectly into the female end of the seatbelt, and the other end clips onto the dog's harness. I wouldn't recommend using it with a collar, as collars can come off or cause severe injury to your pet if there is an accident. Note: my "puppy" is 5 month old Cane Corso and over 80 pounds. There is a review saying these don't stay clipped for big dogs, but I don't have that problem in my 2021 Subaru. Make sure the seatbelts in your car haven't worn out. If that happens nothing will stay clipped and no passengers will be safe, human or canine.

Lee: Not really a reflection on the over-all quality of the product - but for my use, I have had to resort to using both ends which are not attached to light cable. Purchased to keep the small miniature dachshund in his seat in the back of the SUV. Unfortunately his bigger brother - a large 98 pound Lab-Mix, likes to ensure the dachshund maintains his freedom (when he wants to go to the front of the vehicle), subsequently it takes the :Lab about 20 seconds to chew through the harness - and set his comrade in crime free! For an average scenario, I am sure this harness would work very well for most folks. Well made; looks good; and is very functional - exception is harden, well developed freedom artist!! Recommend whole-heartedly for "average beasts!"

Lauren ShapiroLauren Shapiro: I am a volunteer for an animal rescue and I was asked to do a transport. I found out that NJ has laws to keep animals restrained in cars. My sister recommended a seat belt. I saw this one on Amazon and was surprised that the price was so good because one was $10 at PetSmart. I got it the next day also. I used it the other day to test it out with my two dogs who love to roam around the car and it kept them in place, but they were still able to lie down or sit up and move. You can adjust the harness also. Today I used it and it worked great in a 2 hour trip. I'm very pleased with this product and would highly recommend it. It attaches to their collar by a hook or you can attach it to a vest if your dog wears that. You snap it into the seat belt. Very easy and reliable so far.
