carpz: It seems to work fine. I think they would enjoy it better if it had a cover that would actually stay on..maybe one that zipped completely over it. The cover is useless for my big dog.

TheBirdBrain: So I really don't like cats being outside. They kill birds and are so prone to getting hurt themselves. However people keep throwing cats out at my place. After getting them all fixed, I just hate them to be "out in the cold" literally -- so we have bought little houses and heat pads for them all. At any given time, every house will be full of a toasty warm cat laying on his pad. This gives me the peace of mind I need to go to bed and not worry when the temps plummet.

J. Foy: The pads initially do not feel warm until something sits on them for a few mins. To gets the cats to start using them, I laid a pillow on the pads for 10 mins, the pads headed up, and then I placed the cats on them so they understood the pads are warm. Using a temperature gun, I measured the temp under the pillow at around 100F. The pads have a slip on cover so cleaning them is easy.

Polly Ruff Herron: I like the bed heater . It’s nice and soft it doesn’t have a hard board on the bottom. It seems to heat up pretty fast. My fur baby likes it he lays on it a lot. If you need a heated bed for your cat or dog I would choose this one. I can’t remember but I think it came in other sizes.

We care for a colony of 3 strays and have now built each their own insulated, wooden cat house to keep them safe and warm over the Canadian winters. I make my own covers for them as I find the fleece gets very dirty and smelly, especially with feral cats.

Amazon Customer: I have a feral cat (with a winter house) and this pad goes inside to keep Kitty warm on those really cold nights. I have purchased items from K&H before and they never disappoint. Packaged nicely with a really well written “explanation” of how the heating process works. They actually instruct you to test it out first (for some reason I liked that). Coiled wire, three prong plug, the pad actually expands a bit for kitty’s comfort and a thin Sherpa cover. I bought the small size which is 20 watts. I think with the larger sizes the wattage increases. It’s Halloween and nasty cold … I’m happy I’ve already put it in her house! 👍🏼

IamtheNightStalker: I got this for a stray cat that has been hanging around for the last 3 years. I put the heating pad in one of his houses on the deck. He LOVES it and spends a lot of time on it. It doesn’t feel hot like a regular human heating pad but seems perfect for an animal. The pad is well made and definitely waterproof.. With the cover on the pad it looks like a big slice of bread and the raccoons keep taking it out of the shelter and dunking it their water dish. The cord and plugin are very robust and the cover washes and dries easily.
I definitely recommend this for anyone that has an outdoor cat shelter. I can’t get ‘Orange Cat’ to come and live in my house so on my back deck he has an outdoor, prefabricated, insulated shelter with this heating pad inside.

Munyuk: Soft and warm, which the cat loves and is her favourite sleeping place. I had an older one which she used all the time, but when our outdoor cat came in and discovered it, the two of them started fighting over it, so I had to get this second one. I would have given the product 5 stars, except it's a bit narrower than the older one (14"X18" instead of 16"X18"). Also, the cover on the older pad was like a pillowcase, so the entire pad was inside it. This newer pad, however, only has a cover for the top with pockets at the top and bottom to hold the pad in place.
