Jill: It's a great idea but you have to train your cat to use it. Older cats with big paws can only get inside the bigger containers.

M. Leonard: It does what it sets out to! My young cats enjoy sticking their paws in the tubes. There's not much else to be said. Don't expect it to entertain the cats for hours, but it's certainly fun while it lasts.

Tine Sørensen: Works great. And no food spill on the floor either, like most food puzzles. Perfect!

BStro: Such a good idea. Wish my cats had like it.

just a rockjust a rock: I like the function of this bowl. It gets our food motivated cat to slow down her eating. She gets plenty of food every day but she is dramatic to say the least. She was puking up her food because she wouldn’t chew and would scarf everything down so fast.
This bowl has been great for getting her to slow down and making her work for her food a bit more.
It could have been crafted a bit better though. The silicone material is floppy and doesn’t lay flat. The bowl doesn’t sit straight into the silicone base so it just looks cheap. What would be nice is if the silicone base could lock onto the bowl. Instead, the bowl just kind of sits on top of it. Having a cat dog food out of the little compartments makes the bowl shift around so you’re constantly having to make sure that the bowl stays on the base.

EnvroMentl57: I have tried some other methods of slow feeding my cat, who tends to gorge and then immediately vomit. He pretty quickly figured out that he can "grab" and pull out multiple pieces of food, and then still gorge himself. I think it slightly diminished his gluttony but certainly didn't stop it, and he still vomits more than I want to deal with.

sheila: Took weeks for cat to get the hang of it, adding difficulty each week, which was good. I thought he finally understood the green containers, only to discover he learned to pull them out, scattering the food on the floor!!

D Williams: At first our cat wasn’t interested in the digger. We filled it up with treats and he wandered over to take a look and then wandered away again.
But after a couple of days and me considering returning the Digger to Amazon, Button made a few tentative forages with his paws and was soon excavating treats from the little pots.
I wouldn’t say the Digger has changed Button’s life but I’m happy that he isn’t gobbling up all his dried food and treats in one go, like he used to.
As a bonus, we already had some of the Senses track and I was delighted to find out it was compatible with the Digger.

SomeRandomChick: This item is a great product and very well made. My older cats took to it right away. My kitten however... took a "work smarter not harder" approach and simply lifted the cups up out of the unit and dumped them. He is an 11 week old ball of chaos and the older cats were shocked (and probably proud) of his technique. Thankfully the older cats did not follow his lead and continued fishing the treats out. I might have to glue the cups down because the kitten is not interested in even trying that. But overall it's a great purchase... and very entertaining to watch them use.
