The corner clips aren't all that strong. I had it in her pen, and, although she managed to shred the pads, they broke when I accidentally stepped on the corners. Since that is all that holds the pads down, they were pretty much useless after a few weeks.

Susan Edginton: Great product but does not work very well in the joint to rough so doesn’t fold easily

Erin in canada daycare: It wont stop a dog ripping a pee pad but it stops the thing bunching up when they deside to run accross it. The corner holders are minimul and they didnt suggest to fold the extra edge under the pee pad, which is the best deturrent for pee pad chewing. Making it harder to get a grip on.

Christina T.: This is a great potty tray if your dog isn't a wee wee pad shredding puppy. It holds the pad in place pretty good and keeps the floor dry, but my puppy destroyed every pad on that tray, I as soon as I put one down. I had to replace this tray with a different type so she couldn't get to the pads. I gave 4 stars because it's still a great tray and I did find another use for it in my puppy's playpen.

Brittany Hornbuckle: Seems to be good. We got it for a 2 month old puppy. He is still learning. It's easy to move around if need be and holds the pads well. Doesn't take up to much space either. I would recommend at least seeing if you like it especially for the price and if your dog is going to be in and outside kinda dog. :)

TC: This is a really good idea, but I have an older pup who will not even get near these. I have plenty of experience working with rescue animals, this should be a no brainier, but like I said my older pup has a mind of her own and she scrambles to get away from the tray even when I put her on it; to the point she could potentially hurt her tiny hips. I really - really wanted this to be a functional solution. The only reason I am giving four stars is becuase the I think its the folding capability of the tray that provides a little flex when my pup puts he weight on it, and I think this is what my pup does not like. I admit, I knew the trays folded when purchasing, but thought this would be great when traveling.
QUALITY
I don't have any issue with the quality of the product or manufacturing; The quality of the plastic and product manufacturing is decent. The only issue is what I stated above.
Please, I am not trying to sway anyone from trying this product. I think it will work in a multitude of situations, but mine is just not one of them because my pup is so small, older, spoiled, and set in her ways.... For the money, if you looking at puppy pad trays, I'd give these...

KristenC: I have a petite (and persnickety) ShihTzu. She hates to go outside. When I have to leave for extended hours for work, I leave her with pee pads in an enclosed space. She would sometimes go on the edge of the pad which created a horrible mess. Now this pad holder keeps the mess contained. She does seem frustrated by the small size (she's only 9 pounds). I have seen her put her front paws beyond the holder many times, but with her back paws still on the pad holder it continues to work. It is barely large enough for her to make her circles on.
I saw a great tip to layer several pads on the holder and pull up the pads as they are used. Now I'm only going through about 3-5 pads a day which I put on in the morning and pull them up as they become soiled. The clips in the corners easily open/close to add/remove pads. I'm using Pet Central Leak Proof Training Pads from CVS which are 21x21 in. They fit perfectly in this holder.
At first, she was frightened by the movement and sound that the pad holder made when she stepped on it. I had to coax her just to stand on it for a couple of days and reward her heavily to get her to use it. She's figured it out, but where the holder...

Samantha Sheleon: This pad seems to be fairly well built, but not of top quality by any means. The folding function is handy for storage (although, it cannot be stored with a pad in place). The corner clips are easy to use and keep the pad in place. Unfortunately my dog (italian greyhound) seems to rip up the pads just as easy as he did without a tray. If you are thinking of purchasing this tray to prevent your dog from ripping up the pad, I would suggest against it.
The only complaint I really have about the tray itself is the adhesive stickers on the bottom that are suppose to keep the tray in place. Mine keep falling off and I find my dog chewing them in a corner somewhere (not safe!). Without them the tray slides around on the hardwood floor. Its also not a ideal for cleanliness, there are lots of crevasses on the sides and underneath that pee can get into if your dog misses the pad or pees too close to the edge. To clean this tray well it needs to be run underwater, it cannot just simply be wiped off.
What I do like about the tray is that it keeps the pee pad from crumpling up in a corner somewhere. Prior to owning the tray, my dog would run and slide on the pads and it would end...

D. Covart: I recently got a 2 month old corgi pup. She's no where near house trained and I needed something for in her kennel area for when I'm at work and can't get home in time. I purchased this one because it was a bit less money and I liked that it folded up. At first it worked well. She still misses, or simply avoids it, from time to time but over all it does what it's made for. However, now that she's a bit older (3.5 months) she seems to think puppy pads need to be a play thing. Because this only holds the pad on the four corners she can easily pull the edge and get it out or even just pull it out by running over it to quickly. I'll still hang onto it for a backup in another room but I've recently purchased one that holds pads on all four sides.
Size: Good and fits most square puppy pads
Price: Nice for the product
Durability: Pretty sturdy, however the latches can pop off if not careful
Hold: Pretty weak hold on the puppy pads but fine if she's in a calmer mood
