He is very anxious so we can’t invite him in our home. It took two weeks for him to finally check this house out on our back deck. I found him in it this morning during the rain. He likes it!! We put a soft blanket inside. It’s sturdy and easy to put together.

MST2: I bought two of these several years ago and they are wonderful. The cats stay in them all seaonns. The removeable clear cover over the window is good for the side that most wind or rain would enter. The cats did not like both openings covered, so I leave one uncovered. I push their cat bed toward the back so rain wont get in there. It actually has not been wet inside because I have one facing away from wind side. These are very worth the money and safe. I put one near the house so the cat can inside the door. The other is hidden in the shrubs and very private for the other cat. Good product and easy to move around in the different seasons.

J. Victor: I got this because we have an outside kitty that has decided he likes us more than his old owner. He doesn't go in it much right now, but it's still very hot here during the day. I suspect he will start using it when it gets cold and I put the heating pad in there. Having the extra exit is a must with cats. Lots of raccoons and possums come around, but they seem to all get along, bonding over the food I guess. It took me about 30 minutes to put together, mostly because I screwed up and put a piece where it didn't belong, and having to take half of it apart to fix. Will update with any issues that come up.

DarleneDarlene: This house is just perfect for a medium to large cat. My outdoor cat "Boyfriend" (his name) got in it the first night it was on the porch. He is about 7 pounds. My indoor cat weighs 12 pounds and fits in it nicely too.
I took the time to further weather proof it with aluminum tape on all seams, then added foil insulation to the sides including the bottom. A nice DIY project that was not expensive and easy to do.
Only 4 stars because of there is not adequate roof overhang to prevent rain and moisture from getting in. I will figure that out and make adjustments soon. Might close off the second window as my kitty gets used to it. I did not install the clear flaps because it is actually a barrier that most cautious cats will be fearful of.
I'll be buying a warming pad to finish it off before cold weather.

The plastic is about as thin as one could make it. Sad. The way they are attached is CHEAPLYdesigned. Air gaps all the way around , so a light wind blows them in and out. I think I will have to go buy some different plastic and redesign it. That's what you get when you order stuff online and you can't see it before you buy it. For a cat shelter that they call a winter shelter, it doesn't look very buttoned up to me. It's like leaving your doors about 1-in open through the winter time. Sometimes I wonder about the people that are designing this stuff. I think they've got their heads in the clouds LOL. I will have to buy a heating pad for it.
I put food inside for my one feral cat and she goes inside to eat it. I don't know if she is sleeping in it yet or not.
Update ; She goes inside.
It's been in 1 hard rain. On the Left side , no roof overhang , water did splash through the door , the too small plastic door couldn't stop it, since I'm sure it was blowing in & out. Fine for wonderful weather.
As for insulating the inside , I can't see how that would make very much difference , you'll be losing the heat through the openings in the door , and getting cold air...

HANHAN: The media could not be loaded. Love this!! Purchased this a while back for my neighbours cat and other stray cats nearby, it’s weather and water proof, is slightly lifted off the ground which is great, and has two entry/exit points
The only downside is that I wish it was a big bigger for the doorway, this cat is a CHONK and I think he thinks he won’t fit even though he will, other cats use it!! Great purchase

RJRJ: We (the royal we) lined the house with reflecto foil insulation and then stuffed them full of straw, bottom to top and I made a tunnel for the cats. They were inside them in a few minutes and use them every night. I took the front flap off because 1. it was too hard to get the straw in and 2. They didn't like it. We have a prevailing west wind so we have the houses facing east now with the sold back facing the west and up off the ground as you can see. When choosing this house some of the questions were about temperature. We are eastern Ontario and it gets really cold here at times but with the reflecto foil and the straw the cats are cozy and warm. One other thing, my kittens are small and I needed 2 houses. Great for 1 cat but not big enough for 2 smaller ones. Would I buy this product again ? Absolutely ! I was really pleased with the quality. The plastic is sturdy, not thin and cheap. Its a solid little unit.

Sandy: The instructions are not explained very well, in fact, hardly at all. Some of the photos don't match the instructions and the video shows the window parts being 'stuck on' and not screwed on, and from the inside, not the outside , which again is confusing, considering some of the photos in the listing don't show any holes for the screws for the windows at all. Having to remove the screws in the roof to clean it out to make sure whatever you put inside to keep the animals warm hasn't gotten too wet is going to be a hassle in the winter. Given the negs it seems to be sturdy enough, but that remains to be seen after a few raccoons start sitting on it, and for the price it's a better buy then some others I saw.

JTPL: Soooo easy to put together! Seems sort of insulated, but we still added straw inside, underneath it, and around it, and then put a wind and water proof tarp around it, staked to the ground. The tarp serves as a wind break.
Bought this for a community cat and her kittens until we can get them neutered/spayed and adopted out. They like it and use it! Put an old towel over the straw inside, too. Cushy digs!
