Sonja Gail Hoilman: It is a pretty karaoke machine and works well when you get it going. Maybe it will be easier as I get used to it. We use in in church for soundtracks and do have an amp box hooked up to it. It is not quite loud enough without it.
I wish there was a button to turn the screen off when I don't want it on.
I don't like that it automatically starts playing as soon as it reads the CD before I can choose which track I want. I have to remember to hit the pause button.
It is difficult to back track or forward at times and will just pause and not play. Then I have to eject the CD and start over.
Also, the repeat option is a bit redundant. I would prefer it to give the option to repeat the song that I'm on first instead of all first. Again, it could be that I just need to get more acquainted with it.
I like the light weight of it in a way, but because it is so light it slides around when you're working with it.
I wish that the cd compartment slid in and out instead of a door flipping down. Where the machine is so light weight you just about have to hold it every time to put a cd in or take it out and to close the door of the compartment.

Michael: The Karaoke USA GF845 Complete Karaoke System falls just short of being a perfect karaoke machine for at-home use.
First, the good; the single speaker sounds good, the machine does has a "pitch key" available for moving the song up or down in key, and that is handy for picky karaoke singers; The microphone, although not the quality that you will find at karaoke bars, are still very good quality; The machine also has a reverb (an echo) knob, which does add a lot of quality to the sound of the singer's voice, if used properly.
The screen is perfect size and works just as it should.
The bad; you will most certainly need to purchase an additional speaker. The sound of the music is quite good, however, the system does not get very loud at all. Yes. I used to be a professional KJ (A karaoke DJ), and I was in no way expecting that sound quality here however, you should have the ability to turn the microphones up very loud when you have a "quiet" singer, and unfortunately, this system just will not turn up to high levels at all;

Tim Boda: Great karaoke unit, with some features beyond what I expected for a home karaoke system. Ability to use a large SD card to hold a large library of MP3+G content and record your performances is a nice touch, but isn't as user-friendly as I would have liked. This is the main drawback I saw during my use, otherwise it worked great when using CD+G discs. If you use the SD card, you will want to be sure to shorten the filenames to a short code (e.g., "FS1002.mp3" and the related lyrics file "FS1002.cdg") and use an external lookup reference of some kind, otherwise you will have some trouble figuring out which file to select as you scroll through the list of files. Switches on the microphones are a somewhat unexpected and nice feature. Included disc is acceptable as a starter kit with familiar folk, children's and holiday songs, but you will definitely want to purchase other tracks better suited to your tastes. If your karaoke needs are more public performance-minded rather than home use-minded (i.e., you're truly a budding professional karaoke DJ), you would be much better off shopping for software (and a laptop computer) to store the music, coordinate the karaoke tracks with artist...
