Cons- Not suitable for use in extremely high temperatures. If you're looking for an easy-to-use, accurate BBQ Grill Temperature Gauge, then the KAMaster Store has you covered! This Waterproof Large Face for Kamado Joe Barbecue Charcoal Grill Stainless Steel 150-900°F Cooking Thermometer for Oven Wood Stove Accessories Tool Set Up Easy (White) is the perfect tool for your outdoor grilling needs. It features an extra-long stainless steel probe rod that allows for accurate temperature readings, and comes with a screw thread and wing nut for easy installation. Plus, its water-proof temperature gauge won't get foggy in the heat!102.5 FM: Arrived with probe stem slightly bent from the base and not a a perfect 90 degree angle to the dial. But tested perfectly in boiling water so decided to keep and use on the grill. Much better than Charbroil guage which became proportionately more and more inacurate as the temperature rose. This seems to hold true at any temperature. Well worth the money spent and it has a calibration screw on th back if necessary later on. It amazes me why Char Broil can charge $5 -$6 hundred for a grill and then put a 25 cent thermometer on it that doesn't work. My thought was that I'd already spent the $500, what difference does another $20 make. Anybody have need for a used char broil temp guage that looks good but has erroneous readings? Selling cheap!

Charlie M.: Seems to be accurate and it works and it seems to be a good quality it's at least lasted longer than the last one I bought which was only a little bit cheaper but didn't even last a whole grilling season.

J. Kemp: I am the original owner of a mid 90's Weber Genesis propane grill. I have lost the little black cast piece that held the round thermometer on the outside, right front of the lid. Now there is just the original hole in the outside of the lid where the thermometer passed through. This thermometer, with the thick silicone washer, sealed perfectly on the grill, works great and is easy to read. I did calibrate it in boiling water before installation.

bustap949: I was looking for an upgrade to the old dial thermo on my kamado. I wanted to buy something American made for quality because you know how important temp readings on a smoker are. Initially I was looking at the one made by Western Hearth that comes certified but it has a few shortcomings: 1) the max temp is 750. I wanted one up to 900 for searing and pizza cooking temps. 2) The O.D. of the probe is 1/5". My kamado uses a 1/4" opening and the Western Hearth one doesn't come with a gasket to hold it centered in the opening so I would have had to seal it in using some high temp RTV, and because of the curved shape of the kamado I knew the dial wouldn't sit flush and seal without the gasket.
This one checks all the boxes.
Pros:
1) Slightly longer probe for accurate readings
2) Quality construction
3) Threaded stem for 1/4 inch openings
4) Thread and Nut instead of tension clip mount
5) High temp silicon gasket included
6) Only $20
Cons:
1) Did not come calibrated
Overall, I am happy with it

Charles W.: This thermometer passed the boiling water test with no adjustment needed. It was easier to read than the Kamado Joe OEM thermometer. Satisfied so far.
